I think I'm developing an addiction to this place. I only discovered it a couple of months ago, yet since then I've been back almost every week. The food is delightful, I've tried almost every dish on the menu - and each and every one has been yummy. I highly recommend the seafood dishes, so fresh that you can taste the Med.
My only minor gripe is that sometimes the staff can be a little abrupt, but they're so busy dealing with the queues trying to get in through the door that there job is not easy - so you can forgive them. I just wish the prices were maybe 15-20% cheaper, because my credit card is taking a hammering here.
Brilliant tapas. Very simple, as you would expect, but the ingredients are top class. Well worth waiting to get a table.
If the sun is out sit outside and watch Soho walk past. Cant wait to see what Sam and Eddie Hart do with Quo Vardis
Astonishingly good! Early December, mid-evening: a 40-minute wait to get inside, but if we cared to sit outside at the four pavement tables (a mild evening) we would be served at once. And we were: some of the best tapas we've eaten anywhere in the world: tiny fried artichokes, reasonable garlic prawns, excellent chick-peas, bacon and spinach: and the best lamb cutlets we've ever encountered at any price, any restaurant, anywhere. All served enthusiatically. Wine maybe a little pricey, but the rest, very good value.
Barrafina is fantastic. The crispy squid and ham croquettas are out of this world. I can't stop going there and highly recommend a visit to Barrafina!
Barrafina certainly lives up to the hype. We were served by a wonderfully enthusiastic girl. We had a glass of the Hidalgo Pastrana which is a delicious sherry. The clean funky bar is the perfect setting for a quick lunch but the stools are comfy enough to lounge for longer. With the fresh seafood on ice coupled with the spinach tortilla and the Jabugo Ham, be prepared for a feast.
Also, you have to try the Spanish twist on Sashimi which is divine. It is good to see that Sam and Eddie Hart have pulled it out of the bag again after the much applauded and also fabulous, Fino. Barrafina is a welcome addition to London and one which I think sets a dazzling precedent.
Barrafina is an absolutely wonderful place. I will be back time and time again.
Barrafina was fantastic! It is stylish with great food and wines and all are reasonably priced. Go! But don't tell anyone else about Barrafina as it only seats 25!
Barrafina is extroadinary! I recently had stunning Spanish tapas at El Faro in the Docklands but this is close to surpassing it. There is the same level of authenticity with sensational presentation and delicacy of flavour.
I don't usually leave comments but was so impressed with Barrafina I wanted to say thank you.
