Really really bad service. Just because our party went in with three people but we Only ordered two plates of cod and chips meant that we our fish wasn't cooked properly. There was only a handful of chips on the side. I knew I should have just went to wagamama for that kind of price

Absolutely shocking! We ate on a quiet Sunday afternoon. No proper welcome when we entered, instead it seems these people don’t actually talk to customers, just wait for you to request things… Rushed in to ordering- despite other tables being empty. Ordered x2 Fish and Chips- one haddock, one cod. Again- no respose from waiters- no “Anything else sir?” etc… Food came quickly enough. Plonked in front of us. NO explanation of what was what… Had to ask which was cod, which the other… Had to ask for sauces, had to ask for vinegar. Batter was soggy and pretty sub-standard, chips weren’t chip shop style…
Ate food- got through half of cod portion, thought we’d take rest home for the cat. This was just plain troublesome for the waiters (I am still struggling to comprehend how incompetent they all were, x4 serving a total of 10 tables… and still no one checked on us throughout the meal!)…. Didn’t ask for bill as wanted coffee, no chance of that as bill was literally dropped on to table- no explanation. As if waiter was saying “Pay and Leave now”. Cheeky gits had nerve to add on service charge. Asked them to take it off. Aparently “Take it off? No sir, that is offensive to my staff not to leave a tip…”. Felt like taking the pompous pleb outside and showing him what offensive really meant! Told him it was offensive to assume his food and service was worthy of a tip. He took the charge off (all 17.5% of it). At this point they ceased all talk to us- not that there had been much anyway! Upon leaving no goodbye, no words of any sort- My reply- NO THANKYOU…

Avoid at all costs. Service terrible. Food very overpriced (£28 for 8oz steak and 1/2 lobster, £16 for scampi, typical mains were about £15 and from what I saw the Michelin star was not in the post anytime this decade….
