We visited with our two adult sons after a trip to the cinema. On arriving we had drinks in the bar area and when we were ready to eat we were shown to our (reserved) table. So far so good. We ordered starters and mains. The waitress bought out three of the starters and we sat and waited for the fourth starter to arrive for ten minutes, it didn't and no one came over with an explanation. My husband called the manager over and to complain and said we would eat our starter and to cancel the main courses we had ordered as we were not happy and would go elsewhere. The manager was really sorry explained there had been a mix between the waitress and the kitchen. he begged us to stay and said it would all be on the house. (any drinks, food we wanted). So we decided to stay and give them a chance as with that offer we had nothing to loose. I am glad we did because they completely turned it around. The main courses all arrived on time and with smiles (I was worried that because we had complained it would cause an atmosphere but it didn't, the manager and the waitress were fantastic). We have eaten in Belgo central many times this was our first visit to this Belgo. We enjoyed the food, beers and the atmosphere on a busy Saturday evening very much. Because of the very impressive way our complaint was handled we ended up having a great family evening out. We were even give complimentary schnapps! Thank you for recognising you had messed up and for going the extra mile to turn our experience around to a positive one.

I can only agree with the other reviewers, who have experienced this awful restaurant. How the mighty have fallen! Belgo was once the place to go, a chain which wasn't like a chain etc. I was in at lunchtime (it was pretty empty) and ordered their £11.00 moules marinieres plus a "large" glass of house white. The moules had frightening green things coming off them. (The broth was OK) THe fries were just oven-fries, cold and soggy - serve them in Belgium and there would be a riot. The wine was more akin to the body product that looks most like it. The staff were pathetic. The bill wasn't: £20 incl. service. Don't go there. These kind of joints are ripe for recession-enforced closure. They reinforce the (correct) international view that Britain can neither cook nor taste good food.

Four of us went to Belgo's last night; it was sort of a special occasion, since we had a a friend visiting from abroad and having previously been to the original Belgo's in Covent Garden we were looking forward to great food and of course beer! After sitting down we quickly decided we wanted to go for a few drinks; all we asked were that these were brought to us first-but the waitress refused to take our order until we had a full order or some other garbled 'reason' she gave us. By the way, the restaurant was only half full and so not that busy at all. (basic tip to restaurant manager: when the customer orders food-you take down his request and bring him the food or drink; it's really that simple!)and then.

At least 15 minutes of struggling to catch the totally inattentive and aloof staff and being ignored and rudely waved-off. Our "crime"? Trying to order. How can we eat if you won't take the order and Belgo's how will you make money if you don't actually serve the customers? Finally I just got up. Surprise, surprise-the waitress appeared to take our order. But we had had enough and left. Thank you Belgo's for a terrible experience; you really need to improve your waiting staff's lack of service as they are letting down the restaurant badly. Also where was the manager-your job is customer satisfaction remember? Finally, if you want a good Belgo's experience, forget it-it doesn't exist! ***Belgo deserves zero stars and that is the rating I am giving-but system only lets me choose 1 as the lowest***

Disgusting! I visited Belgo 9kingsway) Holburn on Saturday 30th Jan for a pre-booked table. 25 minutes after being seated and having asked 6 times we finally received our menu, two minutes after this we where asked by two seperate waitresses what we would like to order! We had only just been given menu's. We placed our drinks order which came after the first course was served and two of the drinks where incorrect we then waited 10 minutes for replacements. The main courses arrived well two of the four did. One bowl of mussels 9your signatory dish) and one duck. The two other orders had been forgotton. These eventually turned up 10 minutes after the two of us that had received main meals had finished. The chips we where served where cold and so where the replacements. The mussels where some of the worst I have eaten The sauce was like warm water.

Three complaints where made to the staff. The first time we asked where the remainder of our order was the girl rushed off and never returned, we finally asked somebody else who vanished for 5 minutes before returning to say they had been sent to a different table in error. We finally got hold of the original girl we asked who told us the chef had forgotton too make them, if you are going to lie ensure all your staff say the same thing. The highlight of the meal was leaving.

The tollets where a disgrace as was the walk down to them, four green bags of mussels sat on the staircase down to the toilets mmmmmmmmmm lucky devils who order your signature dish eh. I complained and the response was 'we are understaffed tonight' really well get more people and is that an excuse for leaving food on a walkway. As I left the toilet a member of staff saw the mussels shouted to the kitchen for somebody to get them and when I reached the top of the stairwell a chef came out to collect them. I will ensure I post similar comments on all available sites for reviewing your premises and I am also writing to the local coun

Went for lunch once as i work near there. I had a salad which was really good (with balsamic vinegar dressing), but also very small for £9! The place is a bit small though and the staff not always nice. It is quite a dark place at night with warm lightening.

The Bierodrome is like any other Belgo/Bierodrome branch which is a good thing. The food is pretty good and the beer selection is fantastic. This Bierodrome has about equal seating for diners and drinkers alike, giving it a versatile flair and makes a comfortable place to either dine, drink or both.

It's a good place to watch hectic London life pass by on Kingsway. Downsides? Well, it doesn't offer that much of a difference from the others in its chain, and its Kingsway location means that it can attract beer-philistines who only seem to drink Stella and Becks.
