Honestly, 5 stars it is! Went to The Belveder last saturday, Dec 6th, to celebrate something with a relative. First, I booked a table in person, and was shown around to choose where we'd like to seat. Great. On arrival, we were looked after from the beginning to the end: fantastic staff at the reception, well-informed waitors and somilier - we actually went for all their recommendations as the menu was so varied, and were so glad we did. The food was amazing, the wine delicious and the the service - faultless. I am a very picky/ critical person when it comes to eating out..often complain in restaurants etc..so was almost expecting for something unpleasant to come up during the evening, but cannot fault anything at all. Thanks to all the staff at the Belveder that night for making our small celebration even more special.

I took a group of 40 to the Belvedere last week and was highly impressed.
Not only was the atmosphere great, our food was excellent and the service that we received was perfect.
Patrice and his team were very efficient, helpful, friendly and flexible. Their attention to detail was great and they were flexible and relaxed about catering for all types of dietary requests- along with some last minute changes on the night.
I took a very discerning group, and they were all raving about the restaurant by the end of the night... a few of the French guests eager to come back!
I will definately be bringing more groups to the Belvedere as I know that I can feel confident in doing so, and the staff are so relaxed yet effective at what they do.
Thanks to Patrice and the team.
I was absolutely disgusted by the way we were treated by The Belvedere. We booked a private dining area four months before the event for £250 to have it exclusively. A month before, we called the restaurant to make final arrangements and were told we had been moved into the restaurant as a bigger party were being given our dining area.
The Belvedere receptionist offered us a table in the restaurant and a free bottle of champagne. When we finally spoke to the manager we suggested that the other booking should be cancelled as a mistake had been made, but she said that was impossible. She then told us we were telling her what to do and she cancelled our booking completely and put the phone down.
We were absolutely outraged. If anyone were thinking of booking an event or a table there I would seriously think again, as the system they have is very unprofessional and the manager has no idea how to speak to customers.
Doubtless Belvedere must be one of the most beautiful restaurants in London, the setting is stunning. Unfortunately the service did not match this on our visit.
The maitre d' took our order and did not seem to actually know the menu, we had to point at the menu and show him what we wanted. We asked him to bring a selection of vegetables with our main courses and they arrived so late that we were finishing our main courses when they arrived. Everything was too salty!
The waiter then started pouring wine into already half-filled water glasses. The maitre d' then put another bottle of water on the table, saying it was on the house. Surely top class service would also have offered at least a glass of wine on the house to replace the diluted one.
Marco Pierre White has taken swipes at his rivals who he says should stay in their kitchens but surely Mr Ramsay would never allow such poor service in any of his restaurants, regardless of his absence from the kitchen.
London is full of world-class restaurants, I find there no need to return to Belvedere.
I took my wife to Belvedere for our anniversary, it was a delight from start to finish. The food was delicious and the portions are generous. We had a three course meal from the a-la-carte menu with a bottle of house champagne, table water and the bill came to £113, that did include 12% service charge.
I would definitely go to Belvedere again, the venue is great.
The food we had at The Belvedere a few weeks ago was nothing short of sublime! Beautiful flavours and excellent service to match.
The Belvedere is reasonably priced too, so if you want to celebrate a special occasion with friends you might want to give it a look.
