This has to be the worst of the bunch! The tout said on the door we would get a beer each and 40% off the bill. When the bill arrived we were charged for the beer and given a mere 20% discount. When we complained they muttered something in Hindi and walked away. We paid eventually and was left disgusted.

The food was nothing special. My Korma was very watery. My friends Masala was bland. The rice was sticky and had a smell. The poppadoms must have seen better days. Service charge is applied to all bills but there is actually no service. Avoid.

Went to the Bengal Cuisine on friday the 10th April, There tout offered us 2 round of drinks (didn't mention half pints of canned Carlsbeg) and a 25% discount on the bill as well as free papodoms.

the food itself wasn't the best lacked flavour, especially the mossalla dish, the waiters were very loud, finally the bill arrived, what a surprsie they charged us for the papodoms,

and only gave us a 15 % discount, rest of the discount is the 10 % service charge which they didn't charge us for.

(what service) very poor.

I agree with this review. I went there on Easter Friday.

The tout said that the first round of beers and poppadoms (however you spell it) were free (he claimed that we'd like the food so much we'd come back).

The starter (Chicken tikka pieces) was OK, however the dish itself was filthy with scratches on black marks on the plates.

The main course (butter chicken) was hopeless, the chicken wasn't cooked at all, it was a stringy piece of crap that I couldn't chew through.

After all this me and my friend got a bill for 42 quid (they tried to charge us for the "free" beer and poppadoms!!!!!!!!

I have lived in England for 2.5 years and have been to a few different curry houses and this is by far the worst place I have ever eaten at. I would never ever eat there again.

I have lived in London for nine months and been bengal cuisinefrequently. I totall disagree with first review. The food here is ecellent. The Balti chicken tikka masala is totally gorgeous and their special lamb dishes are second to none. The service is just too good.

The staffs are very professional and attentive. I have brought my Aussie and Kiwi friends here and they love it too.

In a word, I have enjoyed to visit bengal cuisine very much and I recommend everyone to go there and have a look, hope you'll enjoy this also.

Recently I visited in Bengal cuisine with a group of my friends. The food was fantastic; the waiters are so helpful and very friendly and the price was reasonable also. The environment of the restaurant is so cool, especially the music was amazing. We enjoyed our meal very much and I would like to advice people to go there.

I'm afraid to recount a very disappointing experience we had at Bengal Cuisine last week.
We had booked a table, though the restaurant had to record of this. No matter, they were not busy, and we had no problem getting a table. However, the staff were neither apologetic for overlooking our booking, nor particularly pleased that we were there at all. In fact throughout the evening, we were made to feel as if they were doing us a favour by serving us, rather than us giving them business.

They were slow and surly in their service, offered little interest or advice in our orders, and only stopped to try and get us to increase our orders.

The food was average, and one of our side orders was forgotten. By the time it turned up, the main course was cold. No apology was offered, and the bill was presented without ceremony. We were left to leave without a word of thanks or acknowledgement.

All in all, a very unpleasant experience. I would not advise anyone to repeat it!
