London Restaurants
Bib Gourmand London restaurants are those venues that the esteemed judges at the Michelin guide deem really rather splendid value for money, with excellent food served at moderate prices. For 2011, there are eleven Bib Gourmand London restaurants, all dotted around the capital, enabling diners to tuck into fine fare without feeling the pinch. Except for, perhaps, around the waistline. So take a look at all the Bib Gourmand London restaurants below and look forward to some of the capital’s best food, served at some of the capital’s best prices.

Goldfish
This cracking restaurant in the City earned its Bib Gourmand thanks to some very impressive Oriental fare that doesn’t cost a pretty penny. The mocha ribs (£13) and the crispy chilli beef (£8.50) are particularly worth getting your teeth into.

28-50 Wine Workshop and Kitchen
Casual and relaxed yet somewhere that takes its food very seriously indeed, this Fetter Lane favourite earns its Bib for the excellent work that head chef Paul Walsh is doing in the kitchen, serving up brasserie delights like cod brandade (£5.50) and pork belly with braised cabbage (£14.50).

Charlotte’s Bistro
This Chiswick restaurant is typically Chiswick, yet sits above most venues thanks to a charming combination of excellent food and pleasing prices. The violet artichokes a la Greecque (£7) are a definite hit, and the barbary duck breast with Szechuan pepper is something pretty special, and not bad value at all at sixteen English pounds. Desserts also deserve mention, with the nougat praline parfait (£6) a must try.

Trullo
This Islington restaurant caused quite a stir when it opened, as foodies filled its tables and got themselves in a bit of tizzy about how good it was. The praise was entirely justified though, and it’s still difficult to get a table. If you do though, the venison carpaccio (£7.50) and the grilled salmon (£17) are musts.

Morito
The guys from the adjacent Moro, add another very tasty string to their Clerkenwell bow, bringing excellent tapas to Exmouth Market. The slow roasted pork belly is particularly popular, and for very good reason indeed.

The Canton Arms
Down Lambeth way lies the Canton Arms, a fantastic gastro pub that’s uninspiring exterior belies an interior that plays host to some fabulous food. Foie gras or haggis toasties might not float everybody’s boat but smoked haddock risottos (£10) and £4.50 bloody mary’s certainly will.

Simply Thai
This Teddington restaurant is an excellent example of how Thai food should be done, with good prices and some remarkable flavour combinations. And it appeared on tele, so it must be good.

Zucca
Anyone in Bermondsey will rave about this excellent Italian restaurant, where exceptional food is served at equally exceptional prices. It’s very cool, and when you can tuck into sea bass carpaccio, stunning grilled veal chops and sublime smoked eel bruschetta without breaking the bank, then this is an SE1 must.

Galvin a Café a Vin
The little sister venue to the Michelin Award winning Galvin La Chapelle is more than just a little sister. The Galvin brothers serve up astoundingly good food, like a terrine of ham hock and foie gras (£6.50), escargots a la Bouguignonne (£9.50) and tagliatelle with chanterelles, parmesan and parsley (£10.50) on a very enticing menu indeed.

Iberica
This part bar, part restaurant, part art gallery, part bookstore and part shop is something of an institution down Fitzrovia way, serving gastronomic delights like Spanish cheese selections (£9.75), patatas bravas (£5.50) and ham croquettes (£6). Tapas heaven.

Polpo
This Soho restaurant is one of the favourites of the blogosphere, where critics and foodies alike have got very excited by a menu featuring excellent mussels and clams (£5.80), bigoli pasta (£4.40) and cuttlefish with gremolata (£6.20).
