Wow couldn't get a more diverse set of reviews. 1 to 5 stars!!

This was my first taste of Caribbean food and have to say I enjoyed it a lot....to such an extent I've been back a couple of times since.

Absolutely adore the ribs and home made coleslaw. The meat just fell off the bone and this has to be my strong favourite.

Tried the curried mutton loved the flavours but its cooked on the bone - great for flavour but prepared to get your fingers sticky.

Last visit tried the Big Momma's Allin - bit of ribs wings curry fantastic hit all the boxes.

The staff were very friendly and so was Big Mike and he does like a shot. The bar was busy, and quite lively (must be those shots) but for me it added to the vibe of the place. Later on the lights went down and the music cranked up and people really enjoyed themselves.

Only criticism toilets they're clean but queue is likely when a crowds in and dim those lights.

Couldn't believe I stumbled on a Caribbean cuisine place in the outta suburbs (Purley). Thought I would try it without much expectation.
Went in with my wife for the Jerk Chicken, Rice and Peas and the Mutton Curry with a few small sides with... great stuff. As the evening went on the place became a little more lively, this just added atmosphere to the experience. Met the owner B Mike who checks each table for feedback and offered a free drink for the wife and I at the bar with the locals, this in turn added a second course to the evening which was great.....
Great place highly recommended if you want something a little different. I suspect the reviewer who gave 1 star probably likes a little more of a quiet traditional diner..... Will be going again...

visited this restaurant with a friend, will def not return!
Food over priced & not good quality. It felt more like a bar than a restaurant, the whole restaurant area needs revamping so it looks like a restaurant and not a cafe.
The toilets are vile and looked like they had not been cleaned for a long time.
The night I visited the restaurant was dead but the bar was busy, quite a few very drunk loud people! The staff seemed okay, the owner who I guessed was big Mike as he was a big fella seemed to be at the bar constantly knocking back shots and I mean alot!
Overall not a good experience, dont go there to dine, go if you want to get wrecked with the owner! Will not be back

I went there for a Christmas meal with work colleagues. The restaurant was draughty, there were christmas decorations, no crackers on the table or table decorations even though I had detailed in my booking that this was a Christmas party.

Staff friendly. Food ok, nothing to get excited about. I thought that it was pricey for the size of the portions. Some mains didn't come with fries etc which was not detailed on the menu, you had to order them separately and add them on to the total bill, steak dinner with fries cost approx £20.

On a Saturday evening the restaurant ran out of a particular desert and had to send a member of staff to Tesco to buy the ingredients. 30mins later we were still waiting and gave up. In addition to this another customer found plastic in their ice cream.

Toilets would benefit from updating as they are a little grubby and the ladies toilet didn't flush very well.

All in all a disappointing experience. I won't be going back in a hurry.
