I visited this restaurant with my wife and some friends as we were looking for somewhere to eat before going to the theatre. My wife was initially hesitant as the set menu looked relatively cheap. But we were both surprised at how good the service and food was and we went for the 3 courses for about £12 if I remember. It is small and it does get crowded but I would definitely recommend it. When we left there were people queuing in the street to get in.

Cannot beat the choice and value offered by this restaurant. Good choice of wines which must be best value in the area as well.

Staff are very friendly and even though the place is often very busy, they never rush you but if you want quick food as you are going to the theatre, they can do that to.

There is an upstairs part as well

The food in Bistro 1 is definitely excellent. I am mainly vegetarian and find a lot of alternatives on the menu. The three or four friends of mine I have taken to Bistro 1 have been really satisfied.

For the purse, the set menus at Bistro 1 are among the cheapest in Covent Garden. The service is good and friendly but the restaurant is actually quite small and when crowded, I do not enjoy sitting there for a long time.

I went here with a local catholic priest after having performed in a play in his church and a group of friends.

It was his choice and I was very surprised at how good it was and I really enjoyed it.

The food was very nice and service was friendly and pleasant and I don't think it was

Despite the fact it was late and the place was busy, I really enjoyed the whole experience and would go back again.

Good choice Father!
