Dined here twice last week it was soo good. Wednesday lunch in the Terrace room on their New Season Menu - bursting with flavors and so 'spring like! Asparagus, Lamb and value for money... Then dinner with my partner last night. Such a romantic venue - top of my list to book for Valentines and can't wait! What a find and will certainly highly recommend for lunch or dinner..PLUS they also do breakfast in the Bleeding Heart Tavern, saving that for next week..

Fantastic food staff and service. The restaurant has a great atmosphere whether with a group or dining as a couple. I have been many times with my wife, as well as with friends, and never been disappointed. The tavern is also good for a quiet pint after work!

Oh for the old days when The Bleeding Heart was smaller and had the atmosphere of a fine dinig club, with a wine list worth the visit alone...

Too big, too slick and utterly charmless the atmosphere has gne but at least the wine list survives.

As a Frenchman I can say that it's a place whereeverything is done to makes you feel that it's amazing... But it's not.

If you want to pay your food twice theprice and then being disapointed, go there!!

We had a meal for my wife's birthday in the Bistro on Saturday.

Food was excellent, Classic Fish Soup and Goat’s Cheese and Caramelised Red onion Tarte for starters and Salmon and CodFish Cake and Slow-roast Loin of Pork for mains followed byone portion of Dark Chocolate Tart between us.

Washed downwith a couple of glasses of Champagne and a bottle of sauvignon blanc from their own NZ vineyard.

More than enough and veryreasonable prices. The combination of the romantic setting, goodfood and service and the price makes the Bleeding Heart arestaurant we will definitely be visiting again.

We had very poor service in the restaurant. Very slow indeed and the wine waiter actually challenged us in a quite aggressive way when we told him that the champagne we had ordered was warm. There was a definite bias towards business customers who presumably spend the most money. Rude staff - would never return

Bleeding Heart is two in one - an olde worlde pub on one hand, a gorgeous bistro on the other. 450 wines should be enough for the most Francophile head-hunter. The waiters are rude though - but they are French.
Bleeding Heart is garlicky.

Bleeding Heart Bistro is excellent. Menu varies weekly, for a very French Bistro the service is good, not snooty but attentive & unobtrusive. Set menu is good value. Restaurant has fabulous wine list and is perfect for a silver service dress up meal...French waiters with French service.
