Blue Hawaii is probably the most overrated restaurant in London. I paid £15 per head for a starter and a main course, expecting some delicious authentic Hawaian food. Instead I was told to make my meal myself!
This is how it works at Blue Hawaii: you have to literally pick your raw meat from a selection of beef, pork, shrimp and chicken and put it in your bowl. Then you pour on top of it your chosen oil and sauce, then add your facourite spice, and then you give it to the cook so he can cook it in front of you.
Now you may think this is cool and original. In fact, the concoction you have made will taste disgusting and overspiced, unless you are an experienced chef! My objection is why should I pay a lot of money for putting together a mishmash of meat and spices? How is this worth £15? The starters and desserts were mediocre.
The only good thing about this restaurant is that the waiters all wear Hawaiian shirts and shorts, and are very friendly. Otherwise, not worth going for the food.
