My partner and me tried Bocca di Lupo last Saturday.
The restaurant was very busy and fully booked, however they had a no-show, so we still got seats. Lucky!
The waiters were very friendly and although it was full we were not rushed and food arrived in a timely manner.
I like the fact that you can see what's going on in the kicthen when sitting at the bar-style table.
The food was very good!
You will be served olives and bread with olive oil while you are going through the menu, which is really nice.
We ordered the Tagliatelle with pigeon, fried seafood (the prawns were to die for), grilled sardines, 3 oysters and the wet polenta, all in small versions to be shared between us. Alltogether with drinks
(2 Peroni and 1 cocktail) this came to 66£.
It was well worth it! A very pleasant dining experience.
I ate at Bocca di Lupo this Thursday, and nearly cried - the food took me right back to so many memories of Italy. This was simple, regional cooking at its best - something so hard to find in London, and something to be treasured. The prices on the menu range wildly, but we ordered freely and were pleasantly surprised by the bill. Service was friendly, and wine (a Nerello from Etna) excelent. I can't wait to go back.
It is a shame that yet another venture by otherwise talented individuals is marketed under the "Italian" label - these guys should be honest and declare that they are copying, and badly at that, the real mccoy. The food you are eating and the drinks do not deserve what you are paying for (lots of money indeed, especially the wines) and makes you wonder why punters are attracted in - suckers, I suppose. I am also surprised by the positive clamour and compliments given to this joint by so called experts - have they ever eaten in Italy to realise the differences? You are better off in nearby, real Italian places: these stick to what they know and do best, and will delight you with their regional specialities. But hurry up, these small family concerns are disappearing fast.

This was such a pleasant surprise. The restaurant really welcomes you in to its warm glow, down past the bar and open kitchen to the bustling dining area at the back. Though the menu was VERY affordable, I couldn't resist ordering more of the small dishes than I really needed to get a real taste of the menu and you should do the same because every dish is so different, yet perfect. The sausages are really to die for, as is the (off-puttingly named) pigs blood and chocolate pudding. You can't taste the blood, it's just the most awesome chocolate granache / mouse you'll ever eat.
Would never have believed this restaurant had only been open two days it was so together and relaxed. Get a table here before word gets out. The atmosphere is spot on - cool without being flashy. Great menu too - with a selection of regional dishes you can choose either as a starter or main course. Plus extra plates provided to encourage you to share. Spaghetti with lobster, mussels and ginger was mouthwateringly divine - although I would have liked a crochet hook to extricate the last morsel. Wasn't quite brave enough to brave the desert made from pig's blood - but the cassata was as good as any I've tasted in Sicily. Service was excellent too and we were even encouraged to taste the wine before ordering. Only criticism was that the tea bag was supplied with a teapot of hot water - but willing to put that down to Italian idiosyncrasy. Oh yes, and take a spare wooly just in case you end up sitting with your back to the air conditioning unit above the kitchen. Will definitely recommend and return - if we can get a table.
