Visiting relatives in the neighborhood (Chalk Farm) we've been trying restaurants in the locality. We've walked by the entrance to Bombay so many times without noticing it, when we finally "discovered" it, it was a delight indeed. With a simple but elegant decor, friendly service, and most of all excellent food plus wine at more than reasonable prices, this restaurant is worthy of recommendation. The View card is a bonus; even at full price this is an excellent value. The French house wine is more than drinkable, the quality of south Asian food superb, and the modest service charge (10% on the pre-discount tab) is reasonable. The folks at Bombay said that as a new establishment they rely on word of mouth for their success. Let our praise help spread the word.
