Popped down to Bosco last night and mentioned the View Card. After a puzzled look from the waiter he went and spoke to the manager. They came back and denied and association with View Card and do not have any discounts.

So... we left

We went as a group of 10 on a Saturday night for dinner and cocktails for a friends birthday.

All the staff were really friendly and the service was great.

All our food came out at the same time and drinks were pretty quick considering 10 of us were ordering 10 different cocktails!

I would definitely recommend Bosco, it has brought some much needed live back in to what was a dying Surbiton.

We ate in Bosco on Saturday night. The service was distracted, friendly when you could get their attention but also incredibly slow.

Drinks orders took at least 20 minutes to arrive. The menu's been downscaled - it used to be quite adventurous, but Saturday evening is now only burgers or grilled meat and salad.

Obviously they are finding getting meals out of the kitchen a challenge. As for the vegetarian option - paying £10 for a goats cheese burger & chips is fine, but not when that is actually a (small) piece of cheese on a mushroom.

I would avoid this place for food and go for drinks only if you are feeling patient.

Otherwise the French Table is much much better, and Rubicon has a more extensive cocktail list. And faster service.

We decided to stroll down to Bosco on Easter Sunday for a spot of lazy breakfast / brunch and we weren't disappointed!

Bosco brings a bit of much needed finesse to Surbiton (Kingston's somewhat impoverished relation) and time will tell whether this is the beginning of the smartening up of the town.

Bosco has been open exactly one week and the interiors were still boasting that new-car smell that shouts "wipe your feet".

The staff were very polite and the manager was particularly friendly. The menu itself was really impressive. My girlfriend went for the Irish smoked slamon with scrambled eggs (really good) whilst I opted for the Bosco traditional fried breakfast which was the real thing (sausage, bacon, bubble & squeak, beans, mushroom, tomato & basil)...

The bar area is really intimite and inviting - something which is a rarity in Surbiton. I can see this place filling up during the week. The evening menu looked promising and I'm sure we'll be making another visit really soon. I particularly liked the fireplace that welcomes you as soon as you enter.

A perfect meeting place, particularly as it's more or less opposite Surbiton's Railway Station.
