I can't say I enjoyed my experience at Boulevard Brasserie. I was really looking forward to it as I was only in London for a treat. We were seated between two boistrous groups so we couldn't hear each other or converse. Our waiter has to be one of the rudest people I have ever encoundered. He was a stroppy so & so, he really ruined it above everything else. I could forgive the very average food, very unmemorable- I could also forgive the fact that we had to remind the waiter about our desserts 3 times before finally giving up after an hour and leaving as we had to get to a show, It was only an ice cream and a creme brulee, so not really a technical, time consuming ordeal to serve up. I am stunned that this man is employed by what could be a nice restaurant. To summise, awful service and poor food. The only credit I can give is that the manager was a lovely lady, but we only spoke very briefly as we were leaving, she was polite, professional and exremely apologetic.

A group of 12 of us met for lunch on Saturday, 13/03/10 and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. We were seated on the first floor and there was plenty of room for us all. The menu was varied, the food delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff were charming and attentive. Would definitely recommend this brasserie.

Went to the Boulevard Brasserie for a pre-theatre dinner from the two course £12 set menu.

Yes the choices were fairly limited, but the food was delicious and quickly served.

There were no problems at all with the service and the decor etc was nice too.

It was very busy and clearly popular, with tables filling up as soon as they were vacated.

As we had a bit of spare time at the end fo the emal, we had a dessert, and the Tarte Tatin was simply superb.

Well recommended. All in all, a great experiecne and we do plan to go back.

I have been going to the Boulevard Brasserie since it opened some 15 years ago - there have been some lows, but on the whole almost all my experiences have been highs. It has somehow managed to maintain its friendly approach to customers and the food is consistently good value for money. Well done Boulevard Brasserie.

This was a very disappointing meal mainly because of the very poor service. The food at Boulevard Brasserie was fine, though nothng special and a rather limited menu, but it is a reasonable price and a central location so would have be fine if our waiter hadn't refused to speak to us when we had requests, refused to bring us water or condiments, was generally rude and then pretended that he was the manager once we complained.

The actual manager at Boulevard Brasserie, once located, was very helpful, hauling off his rude colleague and taking him off our table, but the bill still charged us for two more people than there had been (though we finally negotiated a 25% discount). Very disappointing.

In the six months since being a regular visitor to Boulevard Brasserie, it's seriously gone downhill. With a refurb that makes it look sterile and uncomfortable, the staff are rude, unattentive and, when I walked in last week, made me feel like I was interrupting their private social gathering.

Such a shame, as Boulevard Brasserie used to be a lovely place to have a drink. Maybe I went on an 'off' night, but I certainly won't be going again.

Friends recommended the Boulevard Brasserie as a relaxed venue for a first date! We had a fabulous evening - lovely food, a little too much wine and great conversation. The Boulevard Brasserie's friendly, informal environment put both of us at ease.

Thanks Boulevard...I can't praise you enough!

Outstanding! Boulevard Brasserie is a clear mile better than PJs (sorry, other reviewer). The Boulevard Brasserie is a real gem and has been for the eight plus years I have been using it. The food is what I describe as brilliant comfort food. The service is smiling and friendly and the atmosphere relaxed yet buzzy.

I have been a regular of the Boulevard for many years and therefore I am quite surprised by the previous review. Food and service has got better and better over the years, and I for one have never had a bad experience at the Boulevard. I use it not only for social dining but also for entertaining clients at lunch time. I find the atmosphere right for all occasions. Well done to all at the Boulevard.

Food was fine, for the price and area. The service was poor however. Waiters' attitudes were somewhat insubordinate, and nonchalant. PJ's which is a few doors down offers better value for money.
