I have been going to the Boulevard Brasserie since it opened some 15 years ago - there have been some lows, but on the whole almost all my experiences have been highs. It has somehow managed to maintain its friendly approach to customers and the food is consistently good value for money. Well done Boulevard Brasserie.

This was a very disappointing meal mainly because of the very poor service. The food at Boulevard Brasserie was fine, though nothng special and a rather limited menu, but it is a reasonable price and a central location so would have be fine if our waiter hadn't refused to speak to us when we had requests, refused to bring us water or condiments, was generally rude and then pretended that he was the manager once we complained.

The actual manager at Boulevard Brasserie, once located, was very helpful, hauling off his rude colleague and taking him off our table, but the bill still charged us for two more people than there had been (though we finally negotiated a 25% discount). Very disappointing.

In the six months since being a regular visitor to Boulevard Brasserie, it's seriously gone downhill. With a refurb that makes it look sterile and uncomfortable, the staff are rude, unattentive and, when I walked in last week, made me feel like I was interrupting their private social gathering.

Such a shame, as Boulevard Brasserie used to be a lovely place to have a drink. Maybe I went on an 'off' night, but I certainly won't be going again.

Friends recommended the Boulevard Brasserie as a relaxed venue for a first date! We had a fabulous evening - lovely food, a little too much wine and great conversation. The Boulevard Brasserie's friendly, informal environment put both of us at ease.

Thanks Boulevard...I can't praise you enough!

Outstanding! Boulevard Brasserie is a clear mile better than PJs (sorry, other reviewer). The Boulevard Brasserie is a real gem and has been for the eight plus years I have been using it. The food is what I describe as brilliant comfort food. The service is smiling and friendly and the atmosphere relaxed yet buzzy.

I have been a regular of the Boulevard for many years and therefore I am quite surprised by the previous review. Food and service has got better and better over the years, and I for one have never had a bad experience at the Boulevard. I use it not only for social dining but also for entertaining clients at lunch time. I find the atmosphere right for all occasions. Well done to all at the Boulevard.

Food was fine, for the price and area. The service was poor however. Waiters' attitudes were somewhat insubordinate, and nonchalant. PJ's which is a few doors down offers better value for money.
