Went this morning for breakfast at BQ Brasserie with my family and were we impressed. You can clearly see that there is some change in the management of the restaurant as it has been transformed totally from when we last visited in January. The staff is friendly helpful and most efficient as they were packed but no one looked stressed or in a rush but then again I guess that is down to the tone set by management. Well done, whom ever owns this stunning restaurant has got a great venue and team!
Me and my bf came to Brompton Quarter Cafe last monday to have some coffee and cake. It was amazingly delicious! I recommend it to everyone who just loves cake! Also the atmosphere was great and very relaxed.
We went to Brompton Quarter Cafe for lunch last monday and I must admit we have been really impressed by their brand new summer menu, and for that I give 5 STARS.My friend chose the prawns salad and the lamb and I had the scallops salad and the seabass fillet...All 4 dishes were really really tasty and the presentation was one to notice. It was a treat for the tastebuds & the eyes!!! I even discovered a new ingredient: the crispy basil which was served with my seabass dish...
After a terrible experience last year at Brompton Quarter Cafe.I thought I would give them a second chance, apparently the management and chef has been changed and not only the service was top class, the food was SUPERB!!we had a 3 course dinner, bottle of wine (and I must say - an impressive wine selection) everything came on time, we received amazing hot bread with olive oil on the house which was just baked from the oven.We had few of the sharing salads, delicious humus with great taste and texture. Then we had a fish and steak, I really love tasty food, every moment I put the fork in my mouth I was exploding inside!!They say everyone deserves a second chance, especially that you can see they really worked hard to get better.HIGHLY recommended to anyone who likes to enjoy healthy organic food. 10 out of 10 !
I was at the Brompton Quarter Cafe last Monday and not only enjoyed the food which was absolutely delicious but had the pleasure to be seated next to Bryan Ferry, just great! I heard great things about the restaurants but I had no idea they also pull celebrities as well. Highly recommend the place.
I was on a business trip to London recently and I discovered Brompton Quarter Cafe through my United Nations colleagues who lunch there. We had a business dinner there with high level guests. It was really a wonderful experience. I travel all around the world for my work, hosting and being hosted by high level diplomats. And I can certainly say that Brompton Cafe was one of the best that I have ever dined in, especially in London where we generally lack a warm service and excellent food with organic substance. Our guests and I really loved the food and the service quality that we will certainly be recommending it to our partner agencies for any event that we may host.
Thank you.
Being a food lover it was an amazing experience to go through dinner at the Brompton Quarter, my best friend booked this incredible innovative restaurant in the heart of Knightsbridge, the decor is simply a state of art, but the food was even better, I highly recommend it if you are looking for value for money.
What a sensational place. From the minute you walk in you feel that you are in another world. The food is easy and healthy but still interesting, this shows that they care about the customer.
I like the fact that they want to be all about fresh ingredients taking organic free range meat seriously; about time I say. Where can you eat these days where not only the food is cared for but also your body?
The decadent cakes obviously don't fall into this category but we need to reward ourselves too. The service is efficient and classy, I am now a regular and have found it to improve all the time. Knowing they have had a time where service was not great I am happy to see they are trying to better themselves. For this I give them five stars.
Breakfast was a disaster. One of two fried eggs was broken. Of four halves of toast two were loaf ends. On asking for marmalade, waitress brought rasberry jam. On asking for honey, a small dish with honey was brought. On asking for a second (hot) pot of tea, this was brought but then there were two pots of tea and two cups on table (for one customer). Service was slow, the english breakfast was £9.60 even if you only had bacon and two eggs. Total £16+ . Never again.
I had such a bad experience due to the unfriendly staff. The food is not that special for what you pay in the end and for that kind of money you simply expect much better service (I guess since the service is automatically charged they don't need to bother). Would not recommend this place to anyone...
I have to totally agree with the previous review for Brompton Quarter Cafe and add my own thoughts. I visited for lunch and have never experienced such a disappointment in dining. Certainly not at this cost!
Our lunch consisted of two glasses of wine for 10 pounds - okay so far. I had the organic roast chicken and my guest had the chicken pie - both of which were from their tapas style Gourmet Bar Menu, at £9.25p and £8.75p respectively.
The pie was no better than a supermarket bought example. The chicken, although seasoned well, was two unidentifiable small pieces, similar to the type you would buy in bulk from Tescos for a BBQ. Oh, and a cherry tomato for garnish.
The menu suggests you order 3-4 of these plates, or 5-6 if you're hungry. This is based on two people. So the average price shown on this site does not add up.
We had one portion of chips between us at £4.25p and a bottle of still water at £3.95p. Service charge was £4.53p
Total cost was £40.73p and for what? Spending this sort of money for lunch I expect to be impressed. I wasn't.
Oh one more thing. The prices on the menu don't include vat - that was a further £5.39p. For a similar culinary experience to Brompton Quarter Cafe, buy a KFC bucket, throw away half the chicken and consume the remainder while smoking rolled up £20 notes!
I couldn't disagree more with the previous reviews. The food at the Brompton Quarter Cafe was at best bland and definitely overpriced for what it was. There seemed to be a lot of staff buzzing about looking busy but not actually doing anything. This resulted in very poor service by staff who were civil but far from friendly. I think they know they're on a winner given the surrounding establishments and as a result they don't have to try anymore.
The Brompton Quarter Cafe is a very stylish looking restaurant and the pastries and desserts do look enticing. It’s a pity the rest of the food doesn’t complete the package.
The Brompton Quarter Cafe seduces you before you've even entered - the window display of cakes, pastries and other assorted goodies ensure you enter.
Once inside this pretty venue, we were met by a very friendly member of staff which set the tone for the rest of the afternoon. The food was sublime and the atmosphere affable and relaxed. The Brompton Quarter Cafe definitely gets 5 out of 5 from me.
