My guests and I had a Fantastic Brunch at Bunga Bunga! Great concept and the guys singing/the Classics Rat pack songs. We're amazing! Sexy! Loved the whole vibe great entertainment and all round fun! Staff were friendly and great food, had my share of drink :>)** and also that crazy Priest. Blessing our bad behaviour (what's new!) 'the Dancing with the Karaoke Drag Queen!' mental!. Crazy fun "see you all again"

A really fun evening out; the food was delicious, and so reasonable, and the entertainment was something you wont find in just any bar! Bunga Bunga is my new favourite place to go!

Went on Saturday for a friends birthday - massive q when arrived and even tho on the guestlist took over 30 minutes to get in. Guys and girls on the door were very nice and kept us informed but was a bit frustrating.

Once in however all problems disappeared. Was very busy inside but we had a great time. Downstairs like a kitsch camp party with lots of dreadful karaoke - sounds awful but was fun (after a few drinks anyway), upstairs smaller room with dancefloor playing italo-euro disco, got very hot but made a great alternative to downstairs.

Cocktails great, staff friendly, with a very mixed crowd (20 year old hoorays to 40 year old table dwellers) but lots of fun.

Sort out the q's (to front door.... toilets...... cloakroom...... the qs are my only gripe) this place would be 5 star.

Dinner for eight of us with more than you could possibly drink was under £200 which was a steal. Hilariously OTT entertainment and fun. Gets very busy later on but haven't had such a good night in ages!

My friend booked this venue for her birthday for approximately 24 people. Whilst its quirky vibe and decor makes it and inviting venue with potential, the service was extremely poor.

After being told to be there promptly for 7pm, we arrived approximately 6.45 only to be told the venue was not yet open. During this period we sat in the corner and told to be quiet whilst the staff were given their pep talk before the evening began to which they were told "Ensure that you get each of your tables to spend as much money as possible!".

Once their pep talk was over we were lead to our table to which the 1st thing we were told (as were other guests being led to their tables), "you do realise that the next sitting it at 9pm therefore you must vacate your table by 8.45". A rather welcoming comment!

The venue managed to squeeze 24 of us into a space for about 16 people. Throughout the evening the service was poor, perhaps due to having to rush the food and drinks out as quickly as possible to ensure that there would be sufficient time for the next sitting.

When the bill arrived they had overcharged us by £400 and conveniently forgotton to deduct the deposit everyone had paid previously.

All the concept and the venue has potential, and I can imagine it to be a fun place for drinks, however it lacks organisation and ability to cater for large groups. I imagine it would be suitable for groups up to approx 6 persons.

I would suggest going to pizza express accross the road for food as you are most likely to get a better dining experience for a a fraction of the price, then going to bunga bunga for a few drinks after.

A truly schizophrenic place - have been 3 times. Twice midweek, once on the weekend.

Both midweek visits a great mix of people, great entertainment (once an italian folk band / once an italian sinatra tribute), great mix of people and a truly great relaxed and entertaining atmosphere.

At the weekend packed to the point of uncomfortable, could not really hear the entertainment (an elvis impersonator - not a good one), and quite a young crowd. Frenetic, loud and very hot.

That said the food, staff and service were consistently great on all occasions.

But: come midweek for a truly great experience / weekend if all you want is a party (a loud and drunken one)

5/5 midweek - 3/5 on the weekends.

Hi all,
I have been to Bunga Bunga on Wednesday 14 December and believe me | have found an incredible place.
There was an Italian Sinatra style live music amazing and relaxing .You could stay a the bar and enjoy the show while eating. It was a really great atmosphere!
Furthermore Robin the manager was very kind and friendly. He gave to me and my friends a nice hospitality.
He was very pleasant and approachable. Moreover all staff was very open and friendly.
I have really found Bunga Bunga a familiar and genuine place where going with a girlfriend or
friends.
I would suggest to everybody to go there .
Massimo

Went here for a friends birthday on Friday - first impression - not great. The whole place screams 'joke' - waiters in michaelangelo david aprons, bartenders dressed as gondoliers. That said they were very friendly and welcoming.
Sat down with some trepidation, but I have to say was very pleasantly surprised. Food top notch, pizzas great really thin and crispy and not over topped. Cocktails equally impressive, have travelled widely in Italy and I have not seen such an authentic cocktail list anywhere in the UK. service was efficient, and the fact that the whole team seems to be italian was the thing that finally laid my fears to rest.
Got very loud as the bar filled up so I made my excuses and left - but will definitely go back to eat.

Visited here a few weekends ago and had a fab time. The cocktails are amazing and its a great atmosphere.

However the girl who took the booking was less than helpful and there was a mix up on the night but once we'd overcome this hurdle it was definitely worth the visit.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place the staff couldn't get more friendly, Nice pizza although it comes out piping hot it turns cold quite quickly. It is very busy I went on a Friday and it was amazing. Entertainment was good an old chap singing disco fever music (very funny), I have never experienced dining quite like it. We drank a leaning tower of Pisa (brilliant idea)... My expectations were exceeded!

Terrible service, very slow, got the food order completely wrong. Staff consist of students and a very unhelpful South African manager who had clearly never ran a bar before. Overall very poor experience.

No idea why everyone raves about this place. Where to start. Great idea sharing pizza, music, quirky etc.

However the food was so average and in any normal place wouldn’t have any bookings. Drinks were different prices at the bar and the table. A coke was charged at £5. Yes £5. The waitress dripped wine over my head whilst trying to pour, lovely. We told the staff on ordering we would order in two halves to make it easier as a group of 12. Didn’t matter sharing starters were all messed up as well as the pizzas. They laid the pizzas and starters out in totally the wrong places. No idea if we got the right pizzas as half the group couldn’t work out which ones were theirs, a feeble attempt was made to explain with loud music and the waitresses in a hurry to get away. When they served the pizza on those long boards on stilts they overlapped on my plate and cutlery so much that I couldn’t actually use them. So I used my hands and a napkin to stop the topping falling on my skirt (note this was not the pizza I ordered, we worked this out when someone else commented on a pizza and I realised that was mine half way down the table). Oh and then the bill was wrong. Felt like the place was run by students who had no idea how to run a restaurant.

thought this was going to be cheesey stupid rubbish but seeing as is just round the corner from where i live decided to pop in. very pleasantly surprised. quality drinks - extensive cocktail menu made from great italian aperitifs and liqueurs and very good quality food. dont understand why they throw karaoke in to the mix though. karaoke? unnecessary when the food, drink and staff of this quality.

Brillante! Drinks and dinner for 6 on opening night begun with a warm and smiley welcome and we were swiftly offered drinks as soon as we were seated in the bar area. The staff (all dressed in smart Italian waiter type outfits with comic - yet slightly obscene "naked body" aprons) were excellent - attending to your every need. Peroni (only served in half pints) and a glass of house white (served in tumblers with a small glass jug) was served quickly and professionally. 2 impressive exotic cocktails swiftly followed. We then moved into the restaurant area where we were served tasty rustic Italian style mezze (prosciutto etc) on boards, followed by pizza for 6 served on a long board as one long pizza. The toppings were exceptional - all the usual as you would expect of "an Italian" but you can tell that a lot of thought has been put into sourcing quality ingredients. We were then served some form of "group drink" which can only be described as a miniature Fiat 500 and a Tower of Pisa with several straws sticking out of it, filled with a tasty cocktail. Ambiance wise, the interior (themed to poke fun at Silvio) is very tongue in cheek, but has been done very very well and offers a very relaxed atmosphere - its the sort of place where you can happily turn round in your chair and talk to complete strangers without fear of retribution. This is the first restaurant / bar where I have visited the gents and come out more educated (you are treated to a "learn Italian" tape for the duration). Entertainment included a female opera singer with a phenomenal voice strolling round the bar and restaurant blasting out the classics, occasionally joining various parties at their tables much to the embarrassment of the occupants and the amusement of the rest of the clientele! I can't really fault Bunga Bunga, good for all occasions, quiet drink or massive booze-up, date-night or couples night out either way you will come out with a smile on your face!
