i went there on saturday teh 30thof march. It was the worst customer service i have ever had and i will not be going back, if you want to be treated badly then i would recommend going there.

DO NOT GO THERE.

Went on a Friday night for dinner at a girls' night out. Very fun staff, really nice Latino food, and plentiful portions which is important to me, chilling music to keep you entertained. From 11.30pm they would move tables to leave space for the dance-floor, which I haven't tried yet. Some cocktails might be dull, as the margarita, and some others might be nicely strong, like the cosmopolitan. Would recommend it.

don't know about the restaurant, but the bar/club is miserable: bad music, bad DJs, a meagre drinks selection and security staff bordering on fascism. Guess some like that.

Been there couple of times, I was the fortunate as every-time I visited it was weekend. Had a blast there, gr8 Mexican food, gr8 wines, gr8 music on the floors and above all the staff pretty good as well.Totally enjoyed my outing !!

I went to cafe sol last night for dinner/ drinks. Where to begin really... The food was expensive and bland, the waiters were extremely rude and the atmosphere was awful. The worst thing about it was the bouncers: a group of Neanderthals who were belligerent and generally rude, especially their policy of girls only after a certain time- so sexist! Needless to say, we left early and will never be going back to that dive! Advice to anyone planning on going: don't bother, there are plenty of places in clapham which are a million times better! -10 :(

I really enjoyed my time at Cafe Sol. The food was great, the service was quick and the whole atmosphere was great when the tables were taken away and diners hit the dance floor!

It's a one stop shop for a good night out, especially if your on a budget and not wanting to travel into Central London.

Highly recommended, I'm going again tonight!

Went on a Monday night recently. I haven't been for a while and have to say it really has gone downhill.

Restaurant was 2/3 empty but service was still awful.

took about 15 Min's to order drinks, starters came at different times etc.

Shouldn't take over 2 hours for a meal on a Monday night. Had fajitas which were very bland.

to cap it all off we refused to pay service and ended up arguing with waiter, who insisted that it was compulsory on tables of 6 or more.

Needless to say didn't up paying it and wont be back in a rush!

I have been to Cafe Sol on several occasions and think the food is perfectly acceptable, especially considering the very reasonable price!

Cafe Sol is a great way to spend the evening on a Friday or Saturday if you're just looking to drink, dance and have fun with your friends in a relaxed atmosphere and with no entrance fee.

Doesn't take itself too seriously - brilliant fun all round! Oh, and Matthew, it's 'there' not 'their'.

This place used to be fun for a last resort 2am drink however they seem to have lost the plot with their new door policy.

Turned up at 1.30am on a Friday night with two mates (smartly dressed and not drunk) and waited outside in the small queue for 20 minutes to be told at the door 'they couldnt help us.'

Furthermore the bouncer started getting very aggressive about where we were standing on the pavement.

Who do they think they are - Mahiki? They obviously dont realise that in the current economic climate, with most bars in the area suffering from significant drops in clientele, any business you can get at 2am on a Friday is money in the bank.

Morons! I wont be going back.

i LOVE cafe sol - the food is yummy, the waiters nice, you can almost always get a table... the armadillo eggs are killers. the staff are happy to amend your order and swap items around and the blackened tuna is out of this world! the only complaint is that the sangria isn't very strong, but on the whole this is one of my favourite places to go. it looks pretty too. :)

If there was an option to give Cafe Sol no stars I would. The food was rubbish and everything tasted the same! When the plates were collected with all the food still on it, the waitress did not even ask if my food was not satisfactory! Don't go to Cafe Sol rather visit the Nandos accross the road!

This was over priced and just horrible. The waiters and bar staff were not very nice and forgetful and the food just looked like pig slop. I would strongly recommend you try somewhere else as this has put me and my friends off mexican food for good.

Help! I lost my engagement ring at Cafe Sol on Saturday 16th June. If anybody happened to find a white gold solitaire there please send me mail on jerobaud@pt.lu. I am devastated! Thanks. Other than that I had a great night of dancing here.

I absolutely love this place! It is fantastic for a girls night out. Cafe Sol doesn't proclaim to be an a posh a la carte restuarant but the food is very good! I particularly like the stuffed jalapenos, quesadillas and the salad in a tortilla basket! Tortillas, burritos and chimichangas are always good too.

Prices are reasonable and the cocktails are always great too! Cafe Sol is the perfect place for a party. When the tables are cleared away make sure you reserve yourself one of the tables around the sides of the room before the cheesy music and dancing begins! A great night out!

I went for a meal at Cafe Sol with four others. Most dishes arrived cold and covered in plastic looking cheese.

Myself and a friend experienced severe stomach cramps which progressed to vomiting and stomach pain later in night. Therefore I have to say that in my opinion the food at Cafe Sol is bad.

Cafe Sol is a lively and fun bar. They had a great band there on Sunday. The crowd are awesome, lots of regulars. Cafe Sol is the sun bar.
