I had to pick a restaurant to treat my girlfriend last Sunday and also I had to choose the place first as I wanted to go somewhere we're not familiar but to take a bit of fresh air.
I opted to Cantuccio's italian restaurant because of the menu typical traditional cuisine. When we walked in at about 2pm we asked for a table for two so we were taken to the very inside of the floor nearby the bar. There were a few table already busy so it looked reassuringly crowded by regulars which were chatting to the staff in an italian fashion: Sunday's football serie A the italian main league was the topic of the conversation. I could hear all the comments while the games went on. It sounded the place where the Italians living in the area would lunch and dine there so I couldn't be wrong but I also spotted many English people sat by the huge window that overlook St. John Hill main road. The ambient it's fairly nice and comfortable and plenty of atmosphere. We found an interesting selection of pasta and fish like Grilled salmon fillet or King Prawns with tomato, not less important the Grilled sirloin steak or Veal escalope in breadcrumbs among other plus a varied choice of wines. The menu is rich and carefully balanced so there is choice for everyone taste. It sound very italian and the food it's delicious so it's the mannered service which make the perfect choice to anyone that would like to taste the authentic italian cuisine.
