Excellent value for money family restaurant with simple but good food, very friendly service and some ambience, unlike the restaurant "sheds". Great for celebrating the end of the exams or a family birthday.

An Italian restaurant humbly located in the multicultural area of Camberwell not too far from a William Hill and a Chicken Coop.
My family and I received sub-standard customer service during our visit – the staff were very rude and rushed us to order even before we were seated.

The food was terrible – mouldy and when we raised a complaint we received no apology and were told it was a manufacturer’s issue.

The environment is not suitable for children as they may be subject to adult situations i.e. customers swearing audibly.

Friday night was packed, so obviously very popular. Garlic prawn starters were amazing but let down by bolognese and seafood pasta dishes which had been over-salted. Staff excellent and I've never seen main courses so good value.. £4.50 for most pasta mains! Would have easily go again except I'd be cautious about bolognese and seafood spaghetti mains.

Thought I had been magicially transported to Italy, in terms of the great food, friendly service and great ambiance in a very aesthetic setting. I found the prices unbelievably cheap for the calibre of the menu. I must for a convivial business lunch or a romantic after work dinner. Bellisimo

Caravaggio is great: the food is cheap (all generously sized pasta dishes are around £5 and the most expensive thing on the menu is a steak at £10), friendly and has a good atmosphere.

It gets really busy on Friday and Saturday nights so it's worth booking, but it a nice date restaurant (the puddings are big enough to share!) and also fun with friends.
