I was coming from Marble Arch and as soon as I turned the corner the smell of beef being grilled strike me. It was pretty much like being back home... I had de mollejas as starters which were perfectly cocked, the milanesa is also very good, although I would include a mash potatoes for a classic "milas con pure".

I've eaten at the bar with friends at Casa Malevo. I loved the food, especially the pasta, and I enjoyed the bustling atmosphere.

It's a friendly, relaxed place and I've recommended it to all my friends and colleagues.

Had a great meal at Casa Malevo on Friday night.

The vibe in the place was really cool - laid back but bustling with people eating and drinking at the bar. We had the sweetbreads and the goats cheese salad to start, followed by fillet steak, chips and spinach. The goats cheese was nice (a little more dressing would have been good), the sweetbreads delicious and the steak, tender and melt in the mouth. Cooked to perfection too. The puddings were fantastic. My husband had the creme brulee and I had the passion fruit sorbet which came with a sort of roulade. By this stage I was defeated so I didn't manage to eat that, but the sorbet was really outstanding. All in all a lovely evening and a really great discovery. I'm definitely going back.

I went last night (22nd Oct) to try some argie stuff. It was the first night of opening and although they all look a bit nervous (who hasn't be a bit nervous the first time) the service was OK, the food very good (I had the "milanesa") and the wine selection is excellent. I'm giving them a 4 star considering that it was the opening night, I'll come back to see how are they doing in a couple of weeks. A good reason to come back: Dulce de Leche Crème brûlée with banana split ice cream.
