Opulent surroundings, average food, way over priced......Lunch £93 for two without wine or alcoholic beverage (2 courses). I had loch Fyne smoked salmon to start a slab of smoked salmon with a few capers and red onion not exactly easy on the eye, the fishcakes which I had for my main curse were clumsily heavy and limited in flavour and at £5 a serving the minuscule side portions (potatoes, spinach) were to say the least disappointing. Add to that the rather miserable looking but efficient serving staff and it was a rather unremarkable dining experience....Would I go back? Not at those prices for that quality of fare!

I find the last review very strange as i ate at Catch on Monday night and i had the octopus salad and my partner had smoked salmon and potao pancake which was devine! i followed with the Roast black bream which was cooked to perfection.I found that the service was extremely friendly but not intrusive which i am told is 'The Norm here'
We finished up our lovely evening with a glass of rose champagne in the champagne bar just next door.
