This is the best cafe in the area for a good cup of coffee served in a friendly and charming atmosphere. They have gone out of their way to source fresh and local produce and the quality of the food is very good. I go there regularly and it's best first thing in the morning when not too busy - it get's packed on weekend lunchtimes but they can usually find you a spot to sit. The breakfast menu is superb and I recommend the Bondi breakfast. I also like the music selection which is played discreetly, a good mix of Joni Mitchell / Van Morrison etc, as well as African music, Classical and Jazz.
Very charming cafe which I really love. I visit Chamomile quite often because when I think about being lazy to cook on weekend, healthy and tasty food, warm and friendly services, nice and relaxing ambiance, yummy cakes and muffins, fresh brewed coffee... I always think of CHAMOMILE!! I am sure I am not the only fan of this place.. :) My husband and I always go to this cafe to meet up with friends and family. I highly recommend you to go to this cafe for your any occasion.. :) you'll love it!!See you soon Chamomile!!
Just been to this cafe and I enjoyed it very much. Warm and beautiful decor, delicious food selections with beautiful presentation (try their specials! compliment to the chef!!!), high standard of food organic ingredients and facilities' hygiene. warm hospitality and great services as well.. I can't believe chamomile got couple of negative reviews as I can tell that they have loyal customers as I could see from they greeted their customers. I would certainly come back to chamomile. Keep the good work, Chamomile!! :)
Just read latest review by chamomile customer, and l am shocked by it, l do not usually write reviews, but this one has prompted me. I have been a customer of Chamomile for several years, even though l do not live in the area, this cafe is just fantastic, the range of foods on offer, always imaginative and changing, the prices are very reasonable for the quality, and the staff fantastic. The management, l know take customer care very seriously, just look at there print out on the walls.
l do not know what led this customer to write what they did, this is not my experience, or that of my friends at all.
Chamomile Cafe is the best .

sad to say that I live opposite and would love to love my local, but again i have been let down this place:
1 window sign say free wifi,I am told its not on at weekends
2 we order a chicken Cesar salad, try the one at Violette's across the road and compare, today's was some badly cut up lettuce, two small tomatoes, and a bit of chicken thrown on top. they tell us everyone loves it, we complain that i looks like some eastern block peasant made it.
3 we wait to be served for after this meal wanting the plum and cherry crumble and custard from the black board but no one comes and asks if we want anything else,so get up and pay and leave.
its a real shame as its local, but does not compare to Violette's or even a coffee shop, service is off putting at best and rude at worst.
The cafe has a great menu, a fabulous selection of breakfasts and a lovely location slightly off the beaten track in Belsize park. It should be a destination of choice for people after a weekend brunch or a coffee after a walk on Primrose hill or hampstead heath. But all these great qualities are let down by the unbelievably rude waiting staff who could have learnt their customer service skills in a women's prison. They are positively nasty and seem to consider waiting tables to be beneath them - to the extent that asking a question is considered a direct challenge to their authority. Also, don't go with young children. We went with a little girl who wanted to walk around a bit, because she was bored. Let's just say we were made to feel less than welcome. So if you don't mind being scowled at over a scone, or barked at with your bagel then by all means try it, but be warned. You need a strong stomach to go to this cafe - and that is not because of the food.
