Last week I went with a group of friends to Chang Thai in Wimbledon - it is fairly close to where I work so we thought we would try it out. We had a platter of mixed starters between us which meant we got to try a bit of everything - they were all delicious and beautifully presented. Then we had a selection of main courses, some stir fry dishes and different curries and Pad Thai (my favourite noodle dish). Some us still had room for chocolate chilli cake - this sounds a bit of a strange combination but tastes gorgeous! With a couple of bottles of wine we did not spend a fortune. The service was friendly and personal even though it was very busy. With its pretty coloured lanterns it felt warm and cosy, perfect for a cold November evening. We will certainly go there again.

We decided to try out a different Thai restaurant last Sunday and having been told by a couple of friends that it was worth a visit we went to Chang Thai in Wimbledon. It is the sort of place you walk in and straight away feel comfortable, the service was unhurried but very friendly. The food was as delicious and as good as we have had anywhere and we were well satisfied with both our starters (chicken satay and tempura vegetables) and our main courses (ginger and chilli stir fry and mussaman curry) finished off with shared chilli chocolate cake. All of which was on the main menu, but they also had an interesting looking special menu which we will try on our next visit.

My husband and I recently dined at Chang Thai and we were very pleasantly surprised. We went on a Saturday night and would strongly advise to book as it did get quite busy. The food is fresh and delicious and there is a special menu that changes each month. This month the special dessert was a chilli chocolate cake which came with chocolate sauce and ice cream, it was absolutely devine! When it got dark outside the owners came and lit a candle on each table which gave a very warm and relaxing atmosphere. A very friendly and reasonably priced restaurant.
