One of my very favourite restaurants - I've been going for years. Has had 4 AA rosettes for years and has now been awarded a Michelin star and deservedly so. Chapter 1 provides a gastronomic treat in the suburbs (in a converted 1930s pub!) at prices which are way below what you would pay in central London. The food, the cooking and the service are of a consistently high standard and executed with flair and style. The sommelier, for example, is particilarly knowledgeable and personable. In a pleasant change from a lot of other places, he doesn't try to push the most expensive wine. The atmosphere is remarkably relaxed for an establishment of this quality. I cant praise it highly enough.
