As part of the Reebok sports complex, Chariots Bar and Deil is a venue which offers wholesome food and drink in a relaxing environment, as well as offering impressive views of Canary Wharf through its floor to ceiling glass windows.

The Venue
Chariots is a modern and quite venue which offers peace and tranquillity away from the usual hustle and bustle of Canary Wharf. Aesthetically this venue is very pleasing on the eye, with its cream leather furniture, subtle lighting and long large bar. The main focal point of Chariots is the hugh glass windows, which offer contrasting views of Canada Square Park and the Canary Wharf tower. It is a great place to sit back and relax after a hard day at the office.

The Atmosphere
The venue offers a calm setting where you can unwind over a drink after a workout or simply meet and socialise with friends and colleagues. It often attracts workers from the surrounding Canada Square area, but the majority of its clientele tend to emerge from the adjacent Reebok gym. This is one of the quieter establishments in Canary Wharf, although it tends to become moderately busy between the hours of 6 to 8. It recently began to reinvent itself as sports bar by televising all the Champions League and England matches, however when the games are shown, the bar often appears empty and lacklustre.

The Food
For everyday dining the deli offers a tempting selection of main meals, sustaining salads and vegetarian dishes. The food is prepared freshly on a daily basis and for those who prefer the healthy option this is the place to eat, with a great selection of meals on offer but only between the hours of 7am and 4pm. It’s not a place to dine after dark. If a hearty breakfast is more your cup of tea, then the menu here is broad and long and is priced fairly reasonably for its location.

The Drink
The beverages on offer are what you would expect from such a health conscious venue, offering fruit punch, smoothies, fresh juice to name but few. For those who fancy a tipple, they offer a well organised and broad wine list, with a bottle to meet everyone’s price tag. For a thirst quenching pint they have the old favorites of Carling and Stella on tap as well as offering bottles of Bud and Becks.

The Last Word
This is a place to go if you want to sit and chill out with friends and eat some good wholesome food. Its lovely surroundings and calming views certainly make this a bar worth a visit.
