the creme brulee is to die for. I've been a couple of times and it's the best food I've tasted in my life, the flavour combinations are just amazing. I could be blindfolded and randomly pick any dish on the menu and it would be delicious. The service has always been great, I'd recommend it to everyone.

Amazing. This is what eating out is all about. I mean gorgeous.

The food was divine, the wine cellar brilliant, the cheese board, my God, the cheese, was just awe-inspiring.

The service was spot on. I couldn't ask for a better night out.

Excellent, excellent, excellent.

I've dined at Chez Bruce on a number of occasions, each one I thoroughly enjoyed until now. It was such a disappointment that I've vowed not to go again. I would like to make it clear that the kitchen did not let me down, food is always exceptional at Chez Bruce, but it was the waiting staff. We had to constantly ask for service - drinks and to take our order. In between meals took forever!!!! The air condition was non existent, only until the very last 1/2 hour did they decide to turn it on, and when they did, it was on very briefly! So much for client comfort! We noticed people around us using the menu's as fans. I must add we never complained while in the restaurant, only on this review. To top it off, and this was the decider for me, after the courses they usually offer you a an after dinner treat, they offered it to the next table and walked straight pass ours. WHAT!!!!! Never again!!!

Probably one of London's best neighbourhood restaurants, and excellent value for its class given the reasonable pricing of its set menus.

I went there for lunch recently and was bloated but impressed enough that I'll be returning for dinner sometime next month.

I went to Chez Bruce for my birthday and it was wonderful from the waiting staff, wine, cote de boeuf to dessert! Well worth a visit, the room upstairs is nice for romantic meals.

The food at Chez Bruce is amazing. I have been there before and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food. The service, however, has tailed off hugely. Almost as if they are believing their own press, they are now pretentious, rude and arrogant. And that is just trying to book a table, which can only be done up to one calendar month in advance.

It is a shame about Chez Bruce, but Lamberts, just around the corner, is streets ahead.

I disagree with this review as we booked our reservation only 4-5 days in advance. We also had great service.

I guess the service is only as good as the waiting staff on the night though.Food was amazing too and reasonably priced

Chez Bruce was the best service I've ever received in many years of going to restaurants. Friendly, helpful, discreet, and incredibly well-informed. Of a cheeseboard of several dozen cheeses, our waitress could tell us the history of each, down to the milking of the cow it came from. Chez Bruce was amazing, it made a good meal truly great.
