I have moved to London from Chengdu in January and the Chinese cricket club is the most authentic Chinese restaurant we found.
there sichuan dishes really does remind me of home,i have visited the cricket club on 3 more occasions and each time,the service and the food are at a very ,very high standard.
As Roald Dahl would say “scrumdidlyumptious”. We recently enjoyed the most lovely evening in the company of Tony Chan and his team at the Chinese Cricket Club. Never really knowing my way round a Chinese menu with what would compliment each other I left the choice up to Tony – of some of the dishes he choose for us the stars for us where the tea smoked duck salad, the soft and plump steamed dim sum and the Hunan Lamb, however without a doubt the dry sautéed green beans for anyone ordering beware! You’ll want more…i would suggest ordering two portions edible by the bucket.
visited the restaurant on Friday 6th Nov with my wife, and 2 friends, one of whom was celebrating his 35th birthday.
The Restaurant Manager chose the dishes for us and everything was perfect, from the tea smoked duck, to the numbing chicken and sui mai, all of which reminded me of home.
Wine and Champagne selection was excellent and well matched and desserts were spot on. Also met the Executive Chef who visited our table and several others, really nice chap.
The whole evening was very lovely and memorable, and the staff were first class. Best Chinese food I have had in 22 years of being in London!
Will definitely go back again soon.

The place is fabtastic, if you like eastern cuisine you will love this place - soft shell crab was by far one of the best dishes I and my dinner date have tasted.
Service was also immaculate , I will be back!Let the waiters choose for you as they will suggest thier signature dishes, you wont be disappointed!
The Chinese Cricket Club is fantastic!! I took my family out for dinner last week for my mothers surprise 50th birthday.
The service was absolutely outstanding, the dishes served were out of this world! And... the price was so reasonable!!
I would definitely recommend this to everyone who enjoys quality food. I will definitely be returning back!
