The first time we went there, we were not very impressed. It looks a bit dated and also the seats could be more comfortable. However, the more we went, the more we like it. It gives you an authentic feel as if you are somewhere in a small restuarant in Japan!

The owners are a couple who cook the food themselves. They are very friendly and efficient. We have been to Japan many times and we knows Japanese food. There are a lot of wonderful authentic Japanese dishes on the posters on the wall and in the menu of which you might not be able to find in a run of the mill or modern Japanese restaurants. Food is not cheap but it is not as expensive as it seems because they are good quality and fresh.

Next door is also a sushi restaurant and is always full. We tried that once but we really think this restaurant has the right kind of Japanese menu and much better quality of food. Don't be put off with its decor. If you want good value for money, real Japanese food, this is the one. Highly recommended.

Have you ever been to a sushi restaurant?? Chosan is amazing! It's good value for money, and they haven't raised their prices in a very long time. One of the best sushi places ever!!
