My friend booked a table for 5 people on Saturday at 9pm. I arrived there at 9 and let the manager Jino know i am there. He noted, and then was busy, running around. Then a crowd of 7 people arrived, who happenned to be Jino's friends. After that, before my eyes, he asked the table in the middle who were in the middle of their dinner to move to a table by the stage, because his friends didn't like that table. They swapped.
When my friend arrived 20 min later, and asked where is the table she booked, he said he gave it away because not all of the guests were there at 9pm. Well, when asked where does it state in the email confirmation of the booking, he said email is nothing when we speak to a manager.
The table by the stage was actually ours, i assume he didn't expect his friends to show up last moment.
After 45 minutes of waiting he gave us a table to share with people we don't know.
Anyway, knowing Ciro's for so many years i would say managers like Jino can take the place down in no time. When Ciro is there the place is friendly, when he is absent, Jino acts like he is a king without manners and etiquette!
The pizza's were ridiculously small for the price you pay! We all left still hungry. And they seemed to add an extra ingredient without letting you know. My parma ham pizza had a lone olive on it hidden under the rocket, and my friends tasted of anchovies - which after double checking - was not an ingredient on the pizza. Luckily we do not have any food allergies...
The atmosphere is fairly decent, and the live band fairly good.
But I think I'll stick to my local Italian restaurant...
Do not expect that if you book A table here you will get it. We were a party of 4 who travelled a long way to have a highly anticipated evening here - what an anti climax! . We had a booking for 9pm and were running 5-10 minuted late. We called the restaurant 3 times to explain that we were stuck in traffic. We were told that if we didn't arrive within 10 minutes of our booking time we would lose our table. I thought the manager was joking when he mentioned this to me down the phone, knowing that we were practically outside the restaurant. We walked in the door at 9.12 and were told that our table had been given away but another table had become available that we could be seated at. After being seated and receiving menus we were just about to order when the manager came over and explained that a group of people had walked in off the street and the table we were seated at, was a table for 8, so we would have to stand up and wait by the bar for a 4 seater table to become available. We accepted after an extremely aggressive demand by the manger. To our horror we ended up waiting 90 minutes for a table to free up with no remorse from the manager or any of the waitresses. In all our experiences from eating at restaurants all over the world we have never encountered such bad customer service. To top it all off when we paid our bill we refused to pay the optional service charge and was told very obnoxiously by the waitress that we had not paid enough. We refused to pay the service and walked out the restaurant.
WARNING – only the “regulars” get good treatment here.
I went with my son on Father’s Day - we arrived before 8:00 to ensure that we would have a table for the entertainment, which would start at 9:00.
When we arrived, only two other tables were occupied. I was shocked when the waitress told us that we would have to “give up” our table when the entertainment started.
I asked to see the manager because the website clearly stated no reservations could be made on Sunday.
He told me that the website was wrong and all the tables were booked. I asked him how all those people would know that they could book on Sunday, and he told me they were “regulars”.
I explained to him that we had traveled across London, reminded him it was Father’s Day and asked if we could stay for the entertainment.
He told me I could leave and turned his back. Will never return – there are so many other restaurants that will treat you better.
Choose one of those (unless, of course you like to be treated like we were).
This place is brilliant - a really fun night out. The food was good, the band was great, and the atmosphere was excellent.
I went with a group of friends on a Hen Night, and the manager could not have done more to make us feel welcome and make sure we were enjoying ourselves.
I thoroughly recommend Ciros to any groups looking for a fun, relaxed venue.
Ciro Pomodoro is the place to go for a great Italian Dish with a great atmosphere...
Live music everyday!!! And my favourite... SUNDAY NIGHTS is ARABIC NIGHT!! The music is fantastic...
Whenever I have an evening free or if I have new friends in town, Ciro's is where I always take them. The staff is wonderful, friendly and beautiful.
The space is small which makes the restaurant even more cosier, and the walls are covered with photos of every celeb you can possibly think of that has gone there to eat... even in the toilets!!
I recommend Ciro's to anybody!!!!
Ciros Pizza Pomodoro is a lovely place. I go there as often as I can. The atmosphere is very relaxed and upbeat, the music is always good and there's a different singer every day.
The food is priced very generously and is very good. You should try the pizza. The owners of Ciros Pizza Pomodoro really make sure you have a good time.
