Clos Maggiore was a fantastic venue. The Prix Fixe pre-theatre menu was excellent value for money and of such high quality. Probably the best meal out i've ever eaten. The staff were friendly, happy and attentive without being intrusive and very knowledgeable about the menu and extensive wine list. I cannot wait to eat there again!
One of the most beautiful restaurants in London and great ambiance however the staff are extremely rude and impolite. Never been to a restaurant that charges so much and had rude staff.
the venue was impeccable, the service discreet and helpful and the food left you with a mouthful of delicious taste, texture, aroma and presentation. Great discovery and a restaurant to go back to. Impeccable to all aspects.
The staff mixed up our booking.
We arrived before booked time and were told our table was given to someone else. I even showed them the email confirming the booking on my phone. No apologies, nothing.
We were treated better in a sushi place.
Very poor service. Not recommended.
Dined upstairs at Close Maggiore last night. The food was okay but the head waiter upstairs was extremely rude, surly, arrogant and unhelpful on the occason of our visit. I have never been treated like this in a London restaurant and I would urge others to give this venure a miss until the management train the staff properly. One would have thought he was paying us to be there and not the other way around. He completely ruined our evening.
This has to be the best restaurant in London! The place is absolutely stunning, try and get a table in the conservatory if you can.
The wine list is as thick as a bible and ranges from £35 - £1700!
The set menu offers outstanding value for money and a great choice. The food was cooked to perfection.
I have never experienced service like this anywhere in my life, attentive without being intrusive.
I cannot wait to go back!
Really excellent. Service, food, atmosphere: everything at Clos Maggiore is extremely well thought out.
Unlike a lot of places the waiters will never second guess any of your choices and they are very happy to help you with the (huge) wine list if you don't know what you're talking about.
The conservatory area is really romantic and they put a table for two in there especially at my request (i think normally they only have tables for 4 in the conservatory).
The food is really well put together and it seems like most dishes come with enough accoutrements to mean you don't have to order side dishes unless you're really hungry (although the mashed potato might be worth a go anyway).
Maggiore's is an absolutely fantastic restaurant, beautiful location, great food and really lovely, non-intrusive service. Would totally recommend Maggiore's!
I booked Maggiore's and said it was a special birthday. They had changed the menu and there was nothing I liked. I said we were leaving but the head waiter said that they can make whatever I liked. I asked for filet steak with chips (I only eat chips on my birthday).
He did not come back, but after having the hors d'ouevre and half way through the wine I was served with rib eye steak (thick with fat) cooked medium, without being asked how I like it together with a siclky sauce. No chips and spinach which I am allergic to. It was a dreadful meal and the only plus was that I was violently ill on the way home, thus saving on callories.
And, when I complained to Maggiore's they just weren't interested.
Maggiores does some tasty French food. It's good value for a pre-theatre meal and we often head there in the early evening.
I enjoy eating at Maggiores.
