The ViewLondon Review
Popular for its award-winning menu and uber-chic clientele, Cocoon is a stylish and sophisticated venue right in the heart of Piccadilly Circus. The VenueThe decor at Cocoon is pleasingly warm and romantic, with plush chairs for diners and private VIP rooms for groups. In the middle, you will find a bright and energetic circular bar where an array of vodka cocktails and Champagne bellinis await you – don’t expect much change from a round, though.
The AtmosphereDon’t be put off by the burly bouncer at the foot of the entrance, enter and walk through to an oasis of lively music and twenty-to-thirtysomethings all dressed to impress.
A stone’s throw from Piccadilly Circus, the lights of Soho, and upmarket Mayfair, Cocoon is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. With no dancefloor, the high-tempo music coupled with dimly coloured lights creates the atmosphere that couples and groups return regularly for.
The FoodDelicious Pan-Asian dishes are delicately prepared by the award-winning chefs at Cocoon. Pride is taken in concocting the perfect fusion of flavours, and upon presentation expect a collection of ‘oohs and aahs’ from the table. The waiting staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate in ensuring the right food is served as perfectly as intended – expect good service with a smile.
The DrinkIf you don’t find what you crave from the extensive drinks menu, simply ask the waiter or bar staff and they’ll be more than happy to mix a special for you. Drink prices are standard for Central London bars and the lack of entry fee means an extra drink (or two) for you.
The Last WordCocoon comes highly recommended for a reasonably-priced, award wining food menu, an impressive drink list, and high-tempo music. Ladies, wear your highest heels.
