Absolutely fabulous.I had my birthday dinner there recently.Food is amazing,staff very friendly,atmosphere is chilling,lovely ambient music.The best Chinese restaurant I have ever been.I loved the wishing well by the entrance :)I highly recommend it to everybody!
Lovely family run restaurant with superb food. Relaxed ambient atmosphere and decor- especially the beautiful fish tank! Food is absolutely fantastic- I am Chinese and so am particularly critical! Nice to find somewhere with an exceptional quality of food thats not in the centre of town and easy to get to. Try out the Dim sum menu for different smaller dishes. Highly recommended!
Confucius is by far the best Chinese I've ever had. I've been going for years now and I'm always amazed at the superb quality. You can tell as soon as you step through the door that they are passionate about what they do and want to create the best possible experience for diners. Incredibly decor, extremely professional staff and beyond excellent food.
Agree with the other posters. I've been going to Confucius since the early 90's, and have never been disappointed. I recommend their chilli-garlic crab! Great to have a local gem like that when you don't want to trek into London.
Completely agree with Magicmarvin! Confucius offers excellent value, and the quality of the food is definitely better than most standard Chinese restaurants; it's about a million miles from the ubiquitous msg sauces so often associated with Chinese cuisine by the Western palate.
Would definitely recommend to anyone in Wimbledon keen to discover a local favourite.
I have been to many chinese restaurants and I must say Confucius is one of the best, the food is slightly more expensive than other chinese restaurants in the area however the beautiful decor and serenely ambient atmosphere make it feel somewhat special. The food itself is absolutely delicious with every dish being cooked with a lot of effort, not just lazy, greasy food sinfully offered by many other chinese restaurants. It is hard to recommend any dish in particular as any dish that tickles your fancy is likely to be above par to its counterpart that you've likely had before at another restaurant. Enjoy your meal :)
