Walking into Coq D’argent was like walking into the set of American Psycho. Lots of city types admiring each others pin stripe suits and comparing business card thickness.

Very stupidly I had not considered that an old Conran restaurant based in the city would be full of suits. So I managed to be the worse dressed person in the restaurant and the only person wearing ripped jeans. Unbelievably the very French staff didn’t make me feel unwelcome. The food was excellent and the waiting staff were very attentive. I would return but maybe with my bank manager next time.

Coq D'argent has good jazz playing but whilst it is good it is pretty loud an you can hardly hear your conversation. The service was pretty slow and they weren't even that busy. Coq D'argent is also expensive.
