Worst Korean Shop. Very Greedy mid 40s man (looks like owner) put £3 tips on my bill without even asking me whether I want to pay that much or not. I only realize after entering my pin numbers. It took nearly 30 mins for food to arrive. It was raw hot pot (serve with gas stove ) ingredients which should not take more than 3 mins to put them on plate. Expensive, Ripoff and GREEDY shop owner!! DONT GO THERE..
I have lived in London all my life this place really disappoints in many ways service we got served after 20 minutes staff could not speak English. Menus not clear. Noodles arrived tasting like batchelors noodles with no visible ingredients like chicken fish or meat. Toilets poorly managed and unsafe with electrical points behind toilet pan. It's a poor and sad image for Korea In our capital. We paid and were processed as if we were in a supermarket... We ended up going for more food at gbk for half the price and to fill our empty stomachs and spending a whopping £29 pounds .. Some advice take some imodium...
i totally agree with y'all.AT COREAN CHILLI, food is TERRIBLE, AND VERY EXPENSIVE.
Service is BAD. somehow, when we had our food, only to find instant noodles in the soup, with very dry prawns.
Make it worse, staff do not speak much of English, at all. It was awful.
I am not sure whether the Old Man is manager or the owner himself. he was very rude to us when we refused to pay the service charge, THAT IS A RIDICULOUSLY AT 12.5%.
corean chilli , more like CRAZY CHILLI...
Terrible place - totally ruined by evening.Strongly do not recommend this place.
Service is horrific to say the least (with manager who shouts at his customers! - glad it seems like I am not the first one)
Just not worth the money or time.
Terrible place. Strongly do not recommend this place. Service is horrific and not worth the money or time.
Very poor value for money. Two measly servings of barbecued pork and lettuce to wrap the meat in cost £17.50!
Staff do not speak much english so it was a real chore just to ask for some sauce to go with the meal.
Those with more money than sense and low standards could like this rip-off joint.
Otherwise Liko on Lisle Street is a much better bet.
The service at this place was terrible. The manager just cares about fast table turnover rather than the customers. The manager was trying to usher us in and out quickly. We had barbecued beef ribs and my friend ended up having to cook it at our table. Then the waiter left the barbecue there right in the way so we had hardly any space to eat. The waiting staff was good at avoiding any eye contact and rushing through. The waitress told us not to leave any service charge because the manager took it anyway. I am definitely not going to go back there again.
The food is ok, but the owner is so rude. I went to the restraunt with some of my colleagues. His behavor does not look like a gentlement. We are not going there again.
Something to avoid.
Service is bad and we didn't get what we ordered. Plate were going to other tables first, being refused and then coming to ours.
At first the waitress is cute, and you blame it on poor english skills. However when it seems to happen on every table you wonder what is she goods for ( beside being cute... ).
After pointing out a second time that it was the wrong plate to be delivered to us, another waiter/manager came to our table and started shouting at us... nice !
Well definitely not a friendly atmosphere.
Food is low-average, noddle seems to be the instant type. Too much chili to mask the mask the lack of aroma.
They are probably used as to do such a poor service and they didn't try to put the service charge on the bill.
If you plan to have a nice meal and relax, forget about this place. Aggressive behavior is a big no-no...
The food at Corean Chilli is quite good. My husband and I had very lovely evening. And the price is fair. Corean Chilli is definitely somewhere I will return to soon.
As we said to the cute waitor at Corean Chilli, We are not complaining, we were just disappointed. He apologised, Sorry, our service is terrible, you dont have to pay the service charge, (which had been automatically added to our bill). Sigh. I wish the management were as bothered. Lucky you if you had a good experience in the Corean Chilli (smart that they didnt put Korean, huh?).
The food at Corean Chilli was really good. The flavours were excellent and I really had a great time. Corean Chilli is definitely somewhere I will return to.
