Last night I finally got a chance to try this new restaurant in Wimbledon Village. I was slightly skeptical because it has a hint of the chain look about it (I cannot put my finger on why). I was more than pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service. If you have a good imagination, once inside you can transport yourself to a Buzzy Parisian Bistro.

The food was excellent. For starters we had a walnut and roquefort salad which was delicious and light as a starter should be and grilled prawns which were so tender they slid out of their shells without the usual scraping that you do in a lot of restaurants. For mains I went with the scallops and ratatouille which again was well cooked and very tasty. My boyfriend had the fillet steak and he went as far as to say it was one of the best he has ever had. Apparently it was cooked to perfection! I dont like rare steak so I will have to take his word for that.
I dont normally have desert but could not resist the crepe with strawberrys and vanilla cream. This did not disappoint and with the added dark chocolate sauce it was the perfect end to a perfect meal.
