I must say we didn't get off to a great start at Covent Garden Grill as we were seated by a rather rude and abrupt waiter after waiting a good 5 minutes. But the basic message I would like to give to people is Don't bother! Even though we went on a special 3 course deal for £15, all of my courses weren't up to standard. The tomato soup tasted of something, however not of tomato!



My steak was medium/rare instead of medium/well done. To their credit (and a much more attentive waiter) it was sent back to be cooked further. However to my dissappointment it was very tough and they attempted to give me fresher chips which weren't even cooked properly! As for desert.



I must say I haven't had Penna Cotta before, and I most likely won't have it again. Maybe it's not to my taste? However saying that the blueberry compote, also tasted, odd! Okay, some of it was reasonable, my partner's starter for example and his Coca Cola! Maybe it was our limited menu choice which mapped out our dysmal meal? I like to think differently.
