My colleagues and I had lunch here (courtesy of one of our clients), and it was very nice. The restaurant is small - but very comfortable, warm and cosy. Excellent selection of food and drink. I had squid rings as a starter, followed by swordfish steak, carrots and broccoli for the main meal. This was washed down with red wine.
Overall, the food was very good. The vegetables were a little undercooked - but the seafood was fantastic, wonderfully tender and very tasty.
Service was just slightly too slow. Overall though, a good place to eat, and I would go there again.
Considering that I am italian I had some concerns thinking to go to eat to an italian restaurant.
Now, i must say that I have never eaten so good as I did in Da Paolo in all my life.
Everything was absolutely perfect, the service, the food, the portions (huge like italian portions).
We had starter, "primo" and a grilled plait of fish for 1b person that was actually so big that maybe it could be eaten in three people.
The teste of the fish was amazing, fresh and savoury.We also took a dessert, a tiramisu, and I must say that it was even better than my homemade tiramisu!The best restaurant ever!
Two of us dined here on Tuesday 9th October 07. The service was almost faultless, my co-diner couldn't understand the waitress but I think she wasn't paying attention, but we both agreed the service was excellent. The food came in gargantuan proportions, possible to justify the slightly high prices, but the quality was good enough. We were at our pre-booked table from 6 until almost 10pm and we never felt rushed - don't know if the same would happen on Fri/Sat? Would definitely return.
I think Da Paolo is one of the best kept places in London to go out. The're offering a free bottle of wine for two and two courses each at the moment, great deal. Da Paolo is very romantic and not overpriced as many years ago. Give it a try...
I must have eaten dinner over a thousand times at Da Paolo. Maybe I should try going somewhere else, but when you like somewhere you keep on going back – and that’s exactly what I feel like with Da Paolo.
The food at Da Paolo was nice and the service too. It is a great place for a romantic night. However, it is slightly overpriced. It will cost you around 30 pounds for a 3 course dinner
