I visited da Scalzo as part of a 'dine and theatre' deal. The waiters were ever so attentive and really seemed to care about their customers. The service that they provided was faultless. We started with the scallops and prawns, which were absolutely delicious (I'd highly recommend them!) The portions were very small though, perhaps standard for some dinner deals. The main courses were hot, but were not as tasty as the starters; we went for the fish cakes and pasta though - the pizza and chicken dishes were apparently the best choices. All in all a restaurant with a warm and friendly atmosphere and a caring, smartly-dressed staff of male waiters made this a pleasant experience,

The restaurant looked good and the waiter who showed us to the table was nice, but the waiter who 'tried' to take our order was unbelievably rude, he was annoyed stressed and walked off shouting forget it. We left not wanting to stay somewhere where they can be so rude. Will not be going back.

We were made to feel uncomfortable when we showed our view card, they seemed very angry at having to give us 25% off. The service was poor we felt rushed and the food was disgusting very oily and greasy. I was surprised because of the very good reviews on here, I can only guess that the staff must write their own, because this was really bad. Never going back. I would rather pay a bit more and get better food and service.
