Daphne's is one of the few fine dining establishments left in London that does not even try to split the smokers from the non-smokers. And the tables are very close together. It's a bad combination.



After a woman at the next table lit up in my face, we got up, paid the bill and left. As for the food, you can get better Italian elsewhere in London. On the plus side, the wine menu features an impressive, extensive list of Italian wines.

The service at Daphne's was excellent but the food was no better than average. I had the lamb shoulder which was very fatty and my partner had the rabbit with polenta and it was too salty.



We did manage to set a napkin on fire and the waiters were good fun about it - I would give Daphne's one more chance and just hope that the chef had an off day.

Daphne's has great food, service and ambience and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a cosy, romantic meal. The best feature is that there are almost no bad tables although it's probably best to book in advance as it gets really busy. Bryan Adams and Andrea Corr were there the same night as us, but we were treated just as special as any celebrity. Well done Daphne's!

Daphne's is so not your normal pizza place. Yeah, you can get classic Italian dishes, but when there's things like honey suckling pig on offer, you'd be a fool to start asking about pizza toppings.
Leave room for Daphne's desserts - to die for.
