My son comes here a lot and treated me and his mum. We are big fans of authentic curries having spent our student days in Bradford.

It was a real treat. The food was fresh and really tasty. It's a little different from the conventional but I'd recommend it to any one who wants a really good curry.

First class grub and my son paid. What's not to like/

I read the glowing Metro review a while ago and thought I'd give this place a go. I rang to book a table 1 week in advance and was told that 6.30pm was the only time they had a table available as they were very busy. The man on the phone was quite rude and short with me but I chose to ignore this.

We turned up at 6.30pm and the restaurant was completely empty. We asked if we could come back in 1hr as it was still early - the waiter said no as they were fully booked.

My friend could see his table/reservation list and there were only 4 names on it and she said, in a jokey way, "you're not that busy surely ha ha"...he was so rude and said 'don't you look at my list, what do you know". We were so shocked that we left.

We went to a pub over the road for an hour and when we walked past again at 7.30pm, the place was still totally empty.

Harpreet - it's completely unacceptable that any of our staff would be rude to you. I am the owner of Delhi Grill and I've tried to look into this by going back through our booking sheets to identify a 6.30 booking over the last month that left but I couldn't find it. I've also asked the manager, who is unaware of this incident. Please do contact me directly on aman@delhigrill.com so I can investigate further.Please do understand, however, that we are just a small restaurant that tends to have a rush of bookings between 7.45 and 8.30. In order to seat someone at 7.30 we would want to have a table free until at least 9.00, otherwise it wouldn't be fair on you or someone else that has booked. We are usually happy to show our booking sheet so customers can see why we are unable to seat them. I surprised that one of our staff was unwilling to do that.It would make absolutely no sense for us to refuse you a table at the time you preferred if we had availability. Otherwise we would be inconveniencing a customer for no good reason.Please do contact me as I'd like to understand what happened here, and make up for anywhere we fell short in the customer service we aspire to.Aman

I'm a huge fan of Indian food, and this has got to be one of the absolutely best Indian restaurants in London. This is top class food which is modestly priced.

Everything is freshly made, with perfected seasoning and flavours. The dishes from the Tandoor are to be particularly recommended. I love the little paneer tandoori thing. Seriously this little place is in a class of its own. A little gem really. Absolutely delicious!
