A Nothing Meal at Dolada, Mayfair
The food at Dolada in Mayfair can be summed in one word: Nothing. Our Warm prawn salad with basil did not taste of basil. It tasted of nothing. Our main course of scallops tasted of...nothing. Even the soup came out the kitchen tepid, flavour-less and tasting of...you guessed it...nothing!
I am passionate about good food - it does not matter whether it's a pricey Mayfair restaurant or a market stall in Southern France. Good food tastes good on your palate. The ingredients and flavours need to do a little dance on your tastebuds, leaving you thrilled. Or at the very least, satisfied.
We paid a fair amount for our meal at Dolada, Mayfair. And we left craving something, anything with a little flavour. And at that point, even Pizza Express seemed vastly superior to the offerings at Dolado.
The saddest bit was, my friend and I wanted to treat ourselves to a fabulous meal at a nice restaurant. We chose Dolada in Mayfair having read some great reviews. Big Mistake. And one I shall never, ever repeat.
At Dolada I could eat the best carbonara I've ever tasted.
The Asparagus flan is fantastic.
Delicius ice ceram all of their production.
Is a refind and elegant restaurant where is a great atmosphere

I thank the Chef and staff of the Dolada restaurant.
after trying the 'sublime cuisine of Dolada restaurant in Italy I could not resist trying the creations of Riccardo De Pra in London.
entered the Dolada hoping to find a real Italian restaurant I came out enthusiastically.

even more fantastic tasting menu!
I have only an adjective: UNFORGETTABLE....You can not eat such a great italian food even in Italy, and I am Italian...the products are very fresh and the dishes are very balanced.
From the carbonara, to the amazing candied fruit, every dish is a surprise, a game, an explosion of flavours!
Dolada is a great find in London. Great atmosphere and a sophisticated and well balanced menu.
Mobbed at lunchtime but would be a wonderful venue for the evening.
Tables not too close together and probably one of the best lunches I have eaten this year!thank you

(I've posted five stars!!)
I really loved the wicked pasta Carbonara, and the “true” Costoletta alla Milanese, pink inside, as it should be !!!
My friend had the fish of the day and said that it was really really good !! wow!
Very Northern Italian, very pure taste: not too much elaborated, you can really taste the good quality of the ingredients.
I went twice, once at lunch and once for dinner , I didn’t pay our lunch because I was with a friend who paid for me, but I looked at the menu and it is very cheap (35,00) for the quality they give you!!
In the evening the atmosphere is romantic and elegant, very nice for couples, unfortunately I was with my best girlfriend… but we really enjoyed, and Riccardo the Chef , is a very handsome and nice guy…(he gave us the recipe of the magic carbonara!!!)and the menu is much more interesting (about 70,00) .
It’s definitely the best Italian in town (seems to be at home in the centre of London (-:)Bia
The food is great!..the place is romantic... the perfect place to be with your boyfriend!
Great Carbonara, Great pegeon!
Top Italian restaurant in Town!
The food and the choice of wines are excellent. As soon as you enter the nice cosy location, you can feel the air of Italy. The manager will always have a little chat with you to make you feel comfortable.
I have been there 3 times and will again!
Varia: their only "foreign" wine is French Champagne!

I found Mosaico to be truly delightful. I love Italian food and the waiters weren't that bad either! Will definitely be returning to Mosaico.
