I have been here many times, and I must say the food is amazing. HOWEVER I find the staff are seriously lacking customer service skills. Especially the manager, as she is possible the most miserable person you can meet. She never welcomes you with a smile, and I find that I'm always being rushed to finish my food. It's really a shame because overall I do enjoy the food, but seriously they need to learn how to interact with people. I called recently to make a booking (by the way they never answer the phone). After calling a dozen times finally got through and again I was rushed off the phone. I was taking too long to tell her how many people were coming so she told she 'I'm very busy right now can you call back when you decide how many people are coming. She then asked for my number which I gave her, she then disconnected the call. No thank you goodbye!
DO NOT GO HERE.I have been a few times and have found the food really nice but sickly but the staff extremely rude. It may be ok for lunch or dinner (although they chuck you out after an hour and don't even let you finish your drink), but let me tell you thisIF YOU ARE THINKING OF BOOKING THE KARAOKE FUNCTION ROOM, I WARN YOU, DO NOT!!!!i booked my 18th birthday, and one of the people didnt come because he was too ill, we all had to give £5 deposits, and were told that they would keep the £5 deposits for "no shows". Next thing i know, i have some bitch shouting at me on my birthday demanding i pay the price for his buffet. I told her i was never told that, and that this wasnt mentioned by the staff or on the website and she just yelled at me and my friends. I asked her, why are you charging me for a buffet for someone who hasnt even eaten anything because they aren't here, and she said it's because she had to put an extra chair at the table. After coming in about 5 times interrupting the karaoke and stopping people from going to get food, i decided to go to the cash point and then she said "don't worry". They also quickly removed the information off the website to stop me proving them wrong. After them coming back and fourth, smashing our glasses, bringing us the wrong drinks and shouting at me, they still asked me to pay a 10% service charge despite the poor service. By the time she had left us alone, they were closing up so everyone only got about 2 plates of food and they took the karaoke machine away.Dont go here if you dont wanna be ripped off!!
This is absolutely the worst restaurant or buffet I have ever been to. The waitress at the door was incredibly rude and pushy, telling us we couldn't be seated until the last 2 guests in our party arrived, and then told us we had 1 hour to eat and then we had to leave. The tables and menus were sticky with grease, and the chairs were rock hard. To add to this, the tables were so close together that we were practically sitting on the laps of the people next to and behind us. The constant annoying scraping of chairs and the waiters moving tables around, made it very loud and the atmosphere can best be described as being like a school canteen. I ordered a J2O to drink, and had to wait 20 minutes and ask 4 different waitresses till it was finally brought out to me....and then not even with a glass. The food was barely warm and pretty disgusting. The selection wasn't very good, and the noodles were blatantly Supernoodles! My bf and I decided to leave early, and as we got up a waitress barged up to us with the bill straight away (having been nowhere in sight previously), accusing us of trying to dine and dash! When our table explained that the rest of them were staying, she then rudely insisted our time was up, even though we had 25 minutes left. In short, at £12.90 per person, the buffet isn't exactly cheap, so I think the dirty surroundings, rude service, and disgusting food make this a total rip off. I'm a person who is happy to eat at KFC or McDonalds so I'm not a food snob, but I would recommend people to AVOID this place and go to Nandos next door instead!
went here on a friday evening £11.oo for adults and children over 12,
in my honest opinion whilst not the place for a romantic meal for two
you cannot fault the food it is excellent if you want a good feed
all the starters are there spring rolls ,satay chicken, ribs etc
then you can follow up with aromatic duck pancakes
then for main course everything is here all the noodles , rices
and all the common dishes.
just a warning they expect you to be out and finished in an hour and a half but this is ample time as everything is done for you, they constantly
clear your table taking away your dirty plates, typical chaotic chinese surroundings
drinks are reasonably priced £1.25 for cokes ets £2.80 for beer.
to sum up if you love chinese food and are not fussed about the sorroundings and ambiance you cannot go wrong here , will def be back
hi ppl
this is a good place to eat at lunch time as it only costs £5.80 at lunch. but for dinner its £11.90 which apperntly includes 30 more dishes then usal i have been both dinner and lunch time and i have to say there were not 30 more dishes at dinner i would say 15 the most which was dissaponting as it is double the money not much fresh food such as stirfry vegtables or friut for dessert sea food is not that great tastes frozen i was left eating just jelly for my dessert and ending up feeling verry full on my first plate as most of the food is very starchy. at lunch it is kind of the worth the money but not as great as other restraunts.
staff are very rude they bump into you all the time when your serving your food without an apoligy. you can wait up to 1 hour to be seated and then you are rushed out of the reastraunt in 1 hours time. if you come if you arrive to lunch towards the end of the lunch time offer you are left with leftovers and its cold
and the woman that seats you shes always there she weres mans trousers lmao
I went there for the 1st time last week, and I have to say I'm surprised by the comments here. The place is passable, huge selection food, every container full to the brim, staff were fine, no one told us we had to be out in an hour. Food was delish.
I found it a great place to eat, cheap, and I plan on going everytime I go the cinema there and tomorrow!
I have been a regular visitor to the restaurant since it opened, but recently I've noticed some changes to how it used to be run.On the last two visits we have been welcomed (?) by a female host, who essentially barked at us that we had to vacate our table by 8pm (we were there at 6:50pm), giving us just over an hour to complete our meal. The trays of food in the buffet were not being replenished (a Chinese restaurant where there is no rice or noodles available for over half an hour!), and therefore we had to time ourselves to get up to the food as it was brought out, and then eat at Warp 9 to get out of there on time. Also the noise of re-arranging tables and chairs (being scraped across the floor) was constant throughout the meal, and really damned annoying. What food that was available, was edible, but some was downright disgusting. The "Dragon Balls" (little balls of chicken, in a batter and shredded noodle coating), tasted like they had been cooked in rancid oil. I've lost count then times that I have eaten there, and had a really great meal for very little money, but to be honest from my last two experiences there, it'll be a very long time before I go back.
good range. some of it is halal, which i found really good. good veg range. some dishes tasted the same. waitresses keen to get you in and which annoyed me, but otherwise good value, good setting and halal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not only is the buffet at Dragon King Oriental Buffet huge, with enormous choice, but it's actually very good too. Dragon King Oriental Buffet must be one of the best value places to eat in outer NW London - especially at lunchtime. Take the family!
Dragon King Oriental Buffet is great if you’re on a budget. Hand over a few quid and pile your plate with loads of differet dishes. Ok, so Dragon King Oriental Buffet don’t do Masterchef cuisine but if you’re dying to eat, it’s just what you need.
Go to the Dragon King Oriental Buffet with friends from work. Can't believe how much food you can get for under a fiver!
Don't think there's anywhere else in London that does such good food for so little money. Dragon King Oriental Buffet is definitely worth a visit.
