DIRTY, DIRTY, MESS AND SO SO ....
the entrance - no coments, then the corridor - sticky - no comments,
then the toilets - the smell ... ugly. ugly. ugly, who are cleaning this place ...

Wow Egg's birthday was such a amazing night , best night I have had there. Unlike other clubs it wasn't just about music it was a whole experience. All the dj's were fantastic and everyone in the whole club was really friendly and nice no bad atmosphere as you can tent to get in other London clubs.
They really did put on a show for everyone and made it worth while, I met some amazing people and found the staff friendly. Planning my next trip back there , Thanks EGG

Went to EGG's birthday on Saturday (May 5th) - best night I've had in London for a good while! The line-up was top: Monika Kruse and Kaiserdisco. Really nice crowd, the atmosphere was buzzing. We left at 9am but the party was still going strong! Would definitely recommend this club :)

They treat everyone like a potential terrorist at the doors (having to go through a metal detector).... Unfriendly and expensive (£20 entry on door + £5 a can of lager).

Got to the club at approx 1am and didn't have to queue (bonus) no queue at the coats either, or at bar or toilets. There are 4 rooms 2 are more chilled (ppl sitting down) and other 2 are for the folks who really wanna get in the mix. Got busy around 2-3am. Outside area small with a bar but mainly used for smoking. If your not into tech/house/deep beats then don't bother coming. No big names but still some good mixes. In the downstairs dance room they love their strobe lights so be prepared with your shades or get an epileptic fit! No air ventilation either so does get REALLY stuffy. Atmosphere weren't as good as Ministry or Fabric, but all in all would go again but not in a hurry. 1 girl we met had just arrived at half 6am to party! Shuts around 10am Ive heard and was still banging by the time we left around 7am. Weren't really worth the £20 we paid on the door so would get tickets online in future. 3 stars!

Visited Egg on 3/4/12 after wanting to try something different in London. Plus points to the club were - very large and a choice of different rooms, nice out door area, no lines on the door, coat check, toilets or at the bar. Also, it's open really late so convenient to get first train/tube home.

Negative points - the club lacked personality, atmosphere and energy.

Only visit Egg if you like 6+ hours of underground techno music void of even a single lyric. And don't be expecting anything glamorous or to be blown away.

Will I be returning? Yes, but not anytime soon.

This is a really good club if you are looking for a happy casual vibe. Its not a strict dress code club so is a good spontaneous night out. I like it as an after party after a night out and get there around 2-3am. Love the different rooms and outdoor garden area.

Went here once whilst very pissed so details a bit sketchy but can remember being unimpressed. Club is pretty huge. Go here if you are into the music on that particular night or if you enjoy taking drugs - do not go if you normally go to Boujis or find Fabric a bit too 'street'. This is more of a raver place than a bar / club if you know what I mean. The clientele and staff are more aggressive as a result, this is not a place to attempt to pull in my opinion, the clunge factor is zero. I don't like this kind of atmosphere anymore, as I am too damn old. I have only been here once though so I may be being too harsh...

As an aside it suddenly occurred to me several days after visiting that this place may in fact have been the old warehouse rave venue that I used to visit as a youngster known as 'Bagleys'. Many sweaty nights spent in there until 7am at One Nation, Jungle Fever etc. where the bouncers used to look down your pants into your boxers at the door to check for drugs and a fight was always guaranteed. It seems little has changed clientele-wise (although the decor is unrecognisable) this is still a spot where you will meet the council dwelling, pill-popping populous of North London if that's what you are after....

i was at egg yesterday wanted to try one of the 'best one' in London and i am so disappointed! it was my bf birthday so i thought it will be special evening.. we got there after 11pm and it was still kind of empty, rooms were not open yet (if they says that party starts at 22 so i would expect something happening, when you comeing , not just siting and waiting for something to happen..) we had a drink ( it is expensive for one small bottles beer they charged 5 £ and they throw some away as they pur to the glass and the rest of your dring you paid for it is going to rubish bin) so drink was expensive....
it was kind of xmas party , only xmas thing i could notice was bouncers red hat, noting else...
music was terrible, it loooks like the dj thinks that they are playing in such great club and they can play they own shi* music, mabye for someone who is very drunk or had drugs music will be ok, in each room musisc sounds the same... we even didnt feel like go on dance floor because non os this musisc was great and usualy when the club is good they play music that you just want to dance but not in egg, in egg dj plays own musisc their sets and they think they are great ....
sorry to write all of this but i am so dispointed ab last night and i didnt find there any great points of the club
for me it was just biiiiig waste of money , never go there again !

Perhaps if you had done your research before hand you would have found out that this is not your usual commercial club. What it sounded like is that you were after a bit of Britney spears in somewhere like Trafalgar square. Silly you! I bet you wore your high heels too?!

hehe , no i wasn't wearing heels and i wasn't after Britney spears music too , i was after a good dance with my bf and as i know from different clubs like pacha , if the music is good everybody are on dance-floor , not like in egg. so DJ should play music that everybody wants to dance. and even searching b4 hand didn't help much as well as all those clubs are so different , and somebody will have a good time other not .

Went there yesterday with a friend. We rushed to the bar and asked for the drinks list. To our amazement we could buy bottles of champagne for only £80, the Dom Perignon only costed £150!!. I've seen some clubs in the countryside with more expensive champagne.

But beware, do not go to this club if you want to show off: when we bought the bottle we never expected it to be opened for us *and kept at all times* behind the bar. Plus you had to drink it from hard plastic cups. That is probably the reason why it is so cheap: maybe they know that by keeping the bottle customers would think twice about buying one.

Nevertheless, we enjoyed the music as we are really into the underground house genre and the sound system was very sophisticated. Three floors of musical goodness.

Only go there if you are given a flyer or if you know that there is a good line-up. At the door they beg you to leave your details for a membership card, which sort of has a reverse effect if you know what I mean..

We went to Egg on the 6th August of Key of Life. I listen to house music pirate radio all the time and have heard many stations promoting key of life as one of the best nights out in London. Expect Egyptian theme, belly dancers, etc with Michel Cleis headlining. This night was very disappointing for the following reasons: Egyptian theme consisted of a few shisha pipes and one girl dancer in Egyptian dress who came up to me and asked me if I had seen any podiums anywhere! Obviously she was not told where to dance.

The top room didn't open till 2:30 when it was meant to open at 1, when it did open the music and mixing were poor. The bottom room and the middle room were hot, too dark and probably the most over used smoke machines I have ever seen in a nightclub to the point where I couldn't see my friends who were in front of me. Music was hit and miss - one minute they would play a banger and have a full dance floor then mix in a warm up tune and lose the dance floor. There was no mesosphere in the club at all. When Michel Cleis came on he messed up and then must have put on a back up CD while they tried for about 20 minutes to fix the technical problem! The music on the back up CD was repetitive and boring. Eventually they replaced the deck but we'd had enough by then and left, all in all a shambles from start to finish and I wouldn't go back.

Whent along to the party on Saturday at egg, well the line up was amazing the lighting sound fantastic, the staff helpful out of this world
I am a fan of the Martinez Brothers, they are coming. back to London to appear at the nest, this is a must.
Mentioned to a couple of people who worked at the club about a couple of the bad review on this site, they found it very funny, the conclusion I came too was it was an ex member of staff with an axe to grind because he was dismissed and not the full ticket ,typical
So if you see a crap review on a place, check out the place and be your own judge.
See you at the nest in august

Went to Egg for the first time this weekend and was wondering what took me so long!! Got to the club a bit late but it didn't matter as the party was in full swing when we got there and as it was open til 6 we had plenty of time to get funky! The place is massive and has such a friendly raver vibe which I loved. Would recommend to anyone who likes to rave!

My friend lost his bag ticket and the guy at the bag check in was super helpful and efficient! Great crowd of people, everyone in a good mood and super friendly. I can't wait to go to Key of Life in a couple of weeks and would recommend Egg to everyone! x

Went to Egg this weekend to see the perverted audio event. Was completely wicked! The club is massive, loads of different rooms to get lost in. The terrace was wicked, best place to go for a cigarette in all of London. And most of all the music was sick! A wicked mix of DJs. I will def be going again!

WE LOVE EGG !! >> Hot club with amazing music and a great interior. Several rooms with the best underground and new house music, and a great dj-line up each time... In general, a great clubbing experience as its got the best bits of the big clubs - great sound systems and spaces the floor area manages to keep the intimacy of both DJs and clubbers. Will go again very soon!!!

At Egg I've heard some of the most amazing sound beats with great atmosphere around! Great state of the art sound system, my personal favourite, and it makes me want to revisit each and every time I go to their events! The club offers a great layout, as said, amazing sound, dance stages, friendly staff and great opening hours (till the early morning)! Party on!

The Egg is quite simply my favourite club in London. For me it has the perfect mix of proper underground music, it is massive so if one room isn't your thing there is always somewhere else for you, the drinks arent too expensive and most of all the garden is amazing, particularly in the summer. If you are really into clubbing I would recommend the egg for a sick night.

Egg is the most eccentric super club in London! They have their finger firmly squeezed on the pulse of London, they always book creatively and help steer fresh music towards bigger audiences, bridging the gap between the underground and the commercial. For a super-sized club it still manages to create the friendly atmosphere of a smaller boutique style venue but surpasses all the Shoreditch haunts when it comes to sound, vision and late night raving! I'm a big fan of it's openly polysexual door policy, and its great track record on nurturing young talents from fashion, design and music. With it's position at the foothills of the new developments in Kings Cross i'm certain the Egg will be the club of choice for the next generation.

Hi Guys
Had another great night at Egg,every-time I am there the place looks different.....by far its the best club in London.
Its weird I have read more negatives reviews on the club, think this person who's been putting them out there needs to move on.
I had been to the club on Saturday the 19th of Feb the doorstaff great ,
the place did not smell, many weird and wonderful characters, that what this place stand out from the rest.
Going this weekend....think the ~Egyptian theme is not the best idea at the moment, but all the same looking forward to joining the party.

Great clubbing experience It has the best bits of the big players - great sound systems and spaces - but every floor still manages to keep the intimacy needed to help both DJs and audience connect. This combination guarantees its unique position in London's club scene. I LOVE IT !!

went to Egg for the first time this weekend - 26/02/11 - a friend of mine was DJing and organised some concessions and we were on a guest list which was great. I have heard alot about Egg from various people and everyone rated it very highly. the good news from me is this....the music was fantastic, the outside area very cool and services like the coat check-in was professional and secure....all good so far, now for the bad news.... there is a very obvious clique at Egg and being an outsider it was not hard to spot who the regulars were...they all ponced around with some serious attitude and there was no hint of the "i love everyone" atmosphere you would usually find at clubs of this nature. i witnessed a minor fight in the mens toilet because two guys (thugs) were so desperate to have their coke that they threatened, shoved and pushed everyone who was in their way to get to the cubicle, some guy stood up to them and got manhandled and threatened, why is there no security in the tolilet as nobody likes to see that at a club......the ratio between guys and girls is ridiculous and all females were being harassed. The venue is a bit shoddy, they should spend some money on making it a bit nicer. Overall i had a good night (only left at 10am when it was still rocking) but if it was not for the music i would have been seriously disappointed....the crowd is a mix between normal people and wannabe hard men....

One star, but deserves none! I went to Egg on 19th February for the first time and it was definitely the worst clubbing experience off my life! Unreasonably rude bouncers treating people like trash and it doesn’t get any better inside. Club rooms smell of piss, crap music and arrogant staff. Overall it was an unpleasant and humiliating experience. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and would never go there myself. Avoid at all costs! Angry V

Definitely do not agree with some of the low ratings on here. I've been clubbing in london for about 8 years now and always on the look out for the best atmospheres/environments to enjoy myself in. It's a disgrace that I had not been to EGG until last weekend!
The walk from and to the station was by far the most unpleasant experience of the night, by the time we got to the club we were freezing so it was nice to get inside. Yeah the bouncers are a bit tough, but they have to be, it's their job. Once we actually got in I was massively impressed - the music was seriously good quality, drinks weren't overpriced and the club was bouncing. People seemed to really enjoy themselves, no attitude like some other top venues.
The one thing I didn't get to experience was the garden - can't believe they have something like that in a london club, not one that's open to all members of the public anyway. PLUSH! Looking forward to the weather getting better and spending my sunday morning chilling by the pool after a long night's rave. Sweet...
