Grubby, shabby and with a very sarcastic manager called Sultan who completely ruined our night out by obstinately refusing to honour our KGB voucher despite a confirmed booking. He claimed first that KGB had printed the vouchers incorrectly and then said that the restaurant was losing money on the deal, so he would not honour it in full. Instead he would only allow us to order the smallest and lowest priced cuts of meat and refused to include the sides and salads in the price of the voucher meal. The actual difference in price for two people between what he would allow us to have and what we paid for was about £9. I would have paid this under protest and sought to claim it back later from KGB had he used an ounce of good customer service, but instead he tried to verbally bludgen us into submission and smile sarcastically when I showed him what the voucher specifically said. He was so rude and obstinate that we felt humiliated and distressed, so we did not get round to trying any of the food. But I note that a number of other reviewers found this just as bad as Sultan's service. A few reviewers seem to have had a passable meal, but the restaurant is a long way off the beaten track to take a risk on a night out and from what I could see, only two of the waitresses could speak English and had any idea of what to do in a restaurant (and I gathered they are relieved to be leaving soon) so service is likely to get worse. As for the overall impact, the place is isolated, desolate inside and not too clean. The knives in particular looked worn out and had holes where rivets should be. They did not look at all savoury. Verdict: Avoid at all costs - there are much better places in London, closer to the centre, and much more attractive all round.

Words can't describe how bad this restaurant is, so I'm gonna use loads of them! I challenge anyone to find a worse piece of meat than what they server at El Toro. I could go on for hours about how WRONG this place is, but I guess I'll concentrate on the most relevant point which is their steak (since they claim to be a steakhouse).

Unfortunately, I fell for one Groupon's dodgy deals and ended up with 60% off at El Toro, which might sound OK even for a mediocre meal, but it isn't in this case!
Even though the place is new, you get the feel that furniture and cutlery are secondhand.
Despite being rather hungry none of the starters seemed appealing or even worth paying restaurant prices for, so we went for their biggest sirloin steak, chips and salad.
The chips were ultra tasteless and the salad must have been on our plates ages before a suspiciously overcooked and abused steak was added to the horrible equation. I say abused because I was served a 14.1oz medium rare steak that had didn't have a drop of blood in it or anywhere near it, and to make it even more disgusting the chef - more like a child with an asbo - made several long cuts all the way through the steak (to cook it faster maybe!) which made it look like it was stabbed to death.
I sent mine back and got a replacement that was probably even worse and just as knackered. We only finished a quarter of our food and ended having another meal elsewhere. I'm glad we didn't hit desert like the reviewer below.

This place serves grey old meat badly cooked by probably the worst cooks ever and It lacks any atmosphere whatsoever. It's like having dinner at a morgue with locally supplied meat.

P.S.
If you come across a positive review for El Toro chances are it's a fake!
