El Vergel used to be one of my favourite places but on returning recently I was left disappointed. Sorry El Vergel but I don’t think I’ll be recommending you anymore!

The food at El Vergel is super fresh and very authentic, if you judge it by the amount of Latin Americans who eat there. My personal favourite is the Torta Mexicana but my mate loves the tacos. The salads at El Vergel are very generous and I have heard that the cheesecake is to die for! Meals are cheap and served by friendly staff. The only drawback of El Vergel is the small size of the restaurant. You have to go either before 12.30pm or towards 2pm if you want to squeeze in for lunch. Otherwise, they do a booming takeaway business.
