I came across this review and I strongly felt the need to disagree with the gentleman that has written the previous review. I am a frequent visitor at FEGO caffe in St.Johns Wood and have never had a bad experience. In the many times I have frequented FEGO, the staff have always been very friendly and I have always received brilliant service. Many of my friends are also regulars and can't sing its praises highly enough. The weekends are VERY busy at FEGO and without a booking it is difficult to get a table. Therefore I am not surprised the gentleman couldn't be seated. The wait is never more than half an hour and it is worth it as the food is delicious! The perfect place for brunch and they make a great burger! I love it.
I just thought it was right to share my experience (s) and it also seems VIEW London agree with me having giving FEGO 4/5 starts on their own review.

I have been to Fego on 2 occasions. The first time we went, the service was rathere slow although the food I could not complain about. The selection of food is excellent yet after sitting for 25 minutes waiting for a glass of orange juice / cappuccino on on a Sunday morning - I started to get a little irate after asking 3 times exactly what was happening with the drinks. Luckily I was in no hurry on that occasion. Once arrived, the drinks, and food (1hour after sitting down) were ok - although to be frank I would have-probably eaten / drank anything by that time. Thinking this was a one off problem with the service - I organised to go back again, with a few more people. Booked a table for 4. Arrived, and explained that ther was actually now 5 of us as an extra had just decided to join us. The reaction from the manager - was the rudest customer service experience I have ever experienced. I explained and kindly asked if it was possible to put an extra seat on the table - of which I could see there was plenty of space. He point blank refused and says it was not his problem and he could not accommodate us. Bear in-mind at that point half the tables were empty. The manager mid sentence saying "it is your problem" left turned his back on us and walked away. Disgusted - walked out. Shocked. The food is ok - the Staff, or particularly, the person whom said he was in charge at that time - was frankly a disgrace to the Fego name and we will never return. Be warned - expect to wait along time for your food and expect unfriendly rude staff.
