OMG! I thought I'd died and gone to heaven when I had brunch at ffiona's. Great food, and really happy service, SO unusual for London!
I had eggs Benedict served on crispy bacon to which I added a sausage and mushrooms. My boyfriend had the piggy pudding which is a heavenly concoction of Yorkshire pudding baked with sausages + onion gravy on the side. Too delicious... this breakfast was first rate. I confess, I'm an addict. I will be back and back and back, ffiona beware!

A great place with a great owner. I have been on numerous occasions, sometimes with just a couple of friends and sometimes taking a larger table. Ffiona, the owner, is delightful - a great character and very warm and welcoming. The food is generally classic British, although she usually has a few lighter, mediterranean dishes to balance the menu. I particularly recommend the chicken kiev!

Tried out the new summer menu at Ffionas last night. We had a bottle of rose and some very enjoyable light nibbles including asparagus, halloumi and king prawns. In her inimitable style Ffiona said "If you like it, please tell View London", so I am! Thanks Ffiona, great meal and lovely atmosphere!

Ffiona's is a rare find in Kensington. It is atmospheric to the core with candlelit tables and sheet music on the walls. The owner is bubbly, witty and always has an interesting story to tell. If you go, be sure to try the steak and kidney pie, the butterfish or the chicken kiev. The desserts are all excellent and the wine list is not extensive but carefully selected. Ffiona's is definitely my favourite restaurant in Kensington, and not because it is overly fancy – it's inviting, you can be sure of decent portions and a home-from-home.

We have just moved to Kensington and have been trying out the local restaurants. We have been very impressed with Ffiona's on Kensington Church Street. Last night we enjoyed a very good set menu of calamari, cod loin and apple and blueberry crumble. The crumble melted in the mouth! I thought the lady owner, Ffiona, was very pleasant and restaurant was homely.

Enjoyed a really excellent brunch at Ffionas on Saturday. Bacon and eggs all round and the kids enjoyed it also. Coffee was good too.

Great meal at Ffiona's last night. It was very festive with a friendly group of fellow diners. I'd recommend it to anyone trying to escape the big chain experience for a welcoming neighbourhood restaurant. I had the chicken kiev and it was very good indeed.

We booked a table at Fionas and when we arrived we might have stood at the door 10 minutes and no one approched us. There was only one table of people there and there was one woman behind the bar putting makeup on (someone who worked there) and she saw us but still didnt approach. It was very rude so we left very upset. An hour later someone from Fionas called us and asked why we havent called to cancel our table and when we explained to them what had happened and they just hung up the phone on us! It was very rude and I dont understand why they did this?!

This is Ffiona's Restaurant. We are really mystified by this review and would encourage the writer to contact us (http://www.ffionas.com/ffionas_contact.html) so that we can resolve the problem. We are a small business and do not like any negative comments to go unresolved. Thank-you very much. We look forward to hearing from you.

Had a great brunch at Ffiona's on Kensington Church Street last weekend. There's a great menu of British and American classic brunch dishes and my wife and I had the cooked breakfast with really good bacon, mushrooms, eggs etc. Our friends had eggs benedict, pancakes and waffles. We had cappuccino and then weakened and had a bloody mary each. It was great and all the time were there, Ffiona made us feel very welcome. A great brunch place with a lovely atmosphere.

I've eaten at Ffiona's now three times and each time I am more than delighted, the menu is great and there is so much good, quality choice for all tastes. The restaurant is warm, cosy and inviting with candlelight making the ambience just relaxed enough for couples or groups of friends, it feels intimate yet friendly.

Supper was just perfect so we ventured back for brunch and it was even better! Spoilt for choice, relaxing and plenty of room to chill with the Sunday papers, fresh coffee and the best waffles I have ever tasted...neither of us wanted to leave!

Ffiona is a delight, obviously passionate about what she does, chatty and friendly but leaving you well alone to enjoy your food.

This really is the best place in London!

I love Ffiona's and have been going regularly since a friend introduced me to the place a couple of years ago.

The menu is a staple mix with specials changing daily (Ffiona drags up a chair to the table to explain them to you - get ready to listen... she speaks FAST!). The wine-list is good with a nice range of prices including wine by the glass, half bottles and full bottles.

The restaurant itself is a cosy affair with a really nice interior lit by candles. It is good for a romantic dinner a deux, a group of friends or a business dinner. It seems to be a secret place amongst the Hollywood film-star set as I've seen a couple of big screen names in there but it's not pretentious at all.

A few weeks ago Ffiona started brunches on the weekends which are absolutely to die for. The menu's a nice mix and the bloody marys certainly rank among the best that I've tasted!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.

I felt I had to post a review on your great website about a Sunday brunch I had recently at Ffiona. I had a cooked breakfast (English style) and my friend had American pancakes which she said were really good. It was a lovely time to go and we sat and read the papers while Ffiona brought us more coffee. It was an excellent brunch and very homely.

Delicious food, excellent service, friendly ambiance, to-die-for desserts. One of the best evening meals ever, including Paris.

I've eaten here several times and once before under the previous cafe name (Twin Brothers Cafe Berlin). I always try to stop here when I visit London. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent food, like a home cooked gourmet meal. Get there early if you haven't got a reservation as there aren't many tables. Desserts are divine.

It is such a treat to go somewhere that has just what you want to eat, in an environment you wish to eat in, and food cooked just exactly right. It is also such a pleasure to turn up at Ffonas and see smiling faces. I'd go back to Ffionas again and again.

It’s so nice to find somewhere like Ffiona’s – somewhere with character, rather than these identikit places and chains that are everywhere. Ffiona’s is a lovely homely little place with staff that remember you and a lovely warm atmosphere. Lovely.
