awful. we went there last night, a group of 8. we had pre booked but they had no record of the booking.

they had also merged the 'flame' resteraunt with a chinese resteraunt but the 'flame' part was on an internal balconey next to some trellacing.

awful. also, they said that as there were more than 6 people we had no choice but to have the 3 course set menu. awful.

also! the drinks were very very expensive and the bouncers on the door were rude...awful. less than one star. maybe half a star as it did not smell bad.

I'm not taking this review seriously... You sound like one of 'those' people. This looks like one of the best places to eat in London, especially when you consider how cheap it is. Every other reviewer raves about it. I can't wait to eat here!

Dined here with four friends at 8 pm on a Tuesday evening. The food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Would especially recommend the fish and chips and the chocolate pudding. Could not fault it (apart from losing in the Casino afterwards!!).

We came afterwork when a friend who had been in before suggested it. Having never been into a casino before I really wasn't sure what to expect - but what fantastic food, and very inexpensive by West End standards!

Only slight quibble was that it quite busy when we arrived (8pm or so) - will try coming earlier next time.

Flame was such a surprise. Set in the Casino at the Empire I was expecting a rather open modern over the top setting for this restaurant but Flame has such an intimate feel to it all. The staff were bubbly and unobtrusive and the food was quite something too.
