Against the advice of a friend who told me that Flamenco cost £68.00 for tapas for 2 plus a bottle of wine, I had the misfortune to order some takeaway tapas from Flamenco only yesterday. 7 dishes plus some olives cost £48.00!


The quality was appalling. Calamarie that was tough and batter so dark and soggy that it had evidently been re heated from lunchtime. The Gambos (£7.00) consisted of 6 very small prawns, again probably re heated. The whole grilled sardines were okay - well, they would have been if they had been gutted first. The chorizo claimed to have been cooked in white wine. Errm..no it wasn't, it was floating in a dish of water.


I am so disgusted with this place that I am considering contacting the trading standards people. I would suggest you give Flamenco a very wide berth.

Flamenco is a misleading name if ever I saw one. Me and my partner visited last month and not only was the atmosphere as damp as a wet squib, but the food lacked any fieriness, passion or spice. This is one Flamenco I suggest you don’t take up.
