The ViewLondon Review
Food for Thought is a vegetarian heaven that’s big on food, but low on space. The VenueYou'll find Food for Thought right in the middle of Covent Garden and constantly crowded. There’s a takeaway counter on the ground floor, but to eat in, just join the end of the (probably massive) queue on the staircase.
The AtmosphereA lot of lunch-hour regulars and a few in the know tourists. If you’re familiar with claustrophobia, you might want to opt for takeaway: the seating here is packed together and you often have to share your table.
The FoodAll vegetarian, all the time, as well as some vegan and wheat-free menu items. Expect big portions of soups, stir-frys and other classic veggie staples. And if all this healthy stuff has you craving some sugar, their dessert portions are equally big.
The DrinkFood for Thought doesn't serve alcohol, but it does do some juices and the standard sodas, and there are huge (and complimentary) pitchers of ice water for every table.
The Last WordThe creative and tasty veggie dishes will draw you in, but the lack of seating may make you leave. For those who don’t fancy squishing in with strangers, there’s always the takeaway counter.
